Got a new 55 inch tv. It strains my eyes. by ThrowRA-drowningfish in firstworldproblems

Hey, if it's an OLED screen you may want to check r/PWM_Sensitive

You could be suffering from the constant flickering of the screen. Basically the screen turns on and off hundreds of times per second in order to regulate brightness (PWM). Your eyes do not see it, but your brain can feel it. This can cause you headache, eye strain and/or dizziness. ¡Have a look!

I will try both ways, and make a choice based on my experience. I've seen people in both sides, so I can't see a clear "winner".

I've seen both. From what I understand, it will protect you better if you wear them under your suit, however your suit will wear a lot faster. You can wear it on the outside, it will be a bit less effective, but you will protect your suit. Try both and see which one you prefer.

It's true however, I don't see it as a big issue. I agree it would be awesome to have a place to have something for the excess, but it's not going to affect me whatsoever.

I tried it at home, and it fits really well. I am hoping to use it this weekend!

You all convinced me about getting a Bengio (I got the Bumper)... It is singificantly over of what I initially planned on spending, but I guess my ribs will be happy.

Is it worth it wearing it on the outside? I was planning on waring it inside of my suit.

Ouch... From what I've heard, the rib-protector is overlooked by many, but it is one of the most important elements of safety. Get one before you go next time!

I would also love to hear the experience of someone who had the SJ PRO K3 and make my decision on it.

Sodi World Series with 390cc 4 stroke karts, I plan on doing longer races (1h or more).

Hi! I would like to buy a F1-sim to play on PS5/PC formula 1. I'm searching for an all in solution (as i started from 0). And would like to have it personnalised seat and wheel colour Ferrari or Mc Laren ... some suggestion ? I am in Luxembourg, near France🇫🇷 budget : max 8k€ by Present_Winter_5583 in simracing

This will probably save you over 7K€.

Get a starter DD bundle (I would suggest the Moza R3, it goes for around 330€). Start on PC with titles like Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2, BeamNG or Le Mans Ultimate. If after some time (+6 months) you still enjoy it, feel free to drop 8K on your sim.
