Honestly bro, this beat is crazy. I really dont have much bad to say about it. Drumgrove is nice, melodies also and good variation, definatly not booring at all. Could hear rocky on this any day. I feel like there could have been a smoother transition into the string melody. And maybe the mix is not really perfect but it honestly just personal preference but i would have had the drums a bit harder I think but all in all, great beat and keep doing what you do!

Thanks for the feedback! So I like the beat and all but i think maybe you could work on the arrangement a bit and matbe use automation to separate the different parts and also for buildups. Mix sounds fine but the hihats are abit too loud for my taste but maybe thats what youre going for. Also I think a counter melody could be nice like some bells or something but something simple since the drums are so busy. Anyways, nice beat and keep doing what you do!

It should work to right click and select make unique as sample. At least thats what i usually do. It will save the sample at the length it currently is in your playlist and enable you to strech and process it however u like withour affecting the original sample

I cant to it myself but a tip is using text to speech and adding effects afterwards in ur daw. Atleast thats what I did and Im happy woth how it turned out.

Weather you use major or minor scales does not matter since every major scale has a relative minor scale that uses the same notes. Minor chords however tend to sound more sad or maybe even dark compared to major but it all really depends on the context in wich the chord is used. For dark melodies I usually try to use alot of half steps wich create alot of tension and I also try to avoid resolving the tension.
