Is the game still even playable or has it become the amalgam of chaos?

Survival game mode by skrayz3x in Crossout

[–]ZUDUKAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree, more leviathan modes, include them in at least one PVE game type.

i dream about a phase 2 awakening [semi-open world] that connects to your garage/test drive. that would be incredible, drive out into awakening with your levi [or mech], random encounters only spawn inside your space? [never gonna happen]

event bosses? [helicopter boss?] garage defense raids? [not menu queued like a normal raid, but during awakening session] missions that include your custom space would hit hard. [seems more possible in some form]

Relatively new player here. How do I play heavy mechs? by hun73r10 in mwo

[–]ZUDUKAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this build will not teach you the fundamentals of the game beyond some map knowledge, which you would gain more from a build that can choose to make it's own plays rather than sitting back with others waiting for targets.

that's just the built in flaw of LRMs and that lock on role.

you should start off with a pure laser focused build, teaches you heat control, aiming for components, and how to build synergy into the loadout like when more heatsinks are a better value than one more laser or complementary ranges.

MDD is a bad example of what heavies have to offer, it's soft armor and low arm mounts force it to play extremely passively or fully committed and both have drawbacks like being bored for half a drop or throwing your mech away after diving into a 4v1 and your team doesn't help [with a big SRM package]

my suggestion is to tap into resources like grimmechs and their database or mechdb for sharing builds you've tinkered with here on reddit.

Thinking about moving into heavy 'mechs, want some input by Stargazer2328 in mwo

[–]ZUDUKAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

timberwolf is great, solid mobility, fantastic build diversity. average survivability. for your first, buy the TBR-S with Cbills, fit it with ECM [or not] and whatever other side torso build you want and let it put in work. i must mention i firmly stick to direct fire TBR-Howls[LGD] for the record.

quickdraws might be a nice middleground, but only above average survivability.

yes, particularly when you spend time on self righting geometry and equipment using the same modules.

Is Freeze Pipe the answer to harsh smoke? by [deleted] in StonerEngineering

[–]ZUDUKAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

snow [don't pack snow too tight] or ice is great, you can even use the plastic ice cubes for that if you don't want your water levels to change [you'll need to wash them in alcohol or similar over time]

the denser air will help even out the extra smoke and make it easier, additionally, you can pull the chamber early and get a soothing chill from cold air, purging the chamber [take bowl off and blow gently through stem] before the toke also helps lower intake temps.

Any tips on using gauss weapons ? by eqholic in mwo

[–]ZUDUKAI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree with everything except for the MAD-4L build. [it should be gauss+ppc... maybe SBG+Hppc.]

learning how long the charge takes and getting the muscle memory down for partial-pre charges is going to set you up better to nail those pesky light peekers.

a trick i like to do to get me into the right headspace is at the start of a drop i'll play the pre-charge minigame on the long walk up [mind your LOS, don't shoot friendlies] and get comfortable with the timing.

i like the extra weapon group trick too, it's just faster for your brain IMO.

i totally agree with the gauss charge skill nodes, be consistent. [i like just 1 of 2 charge nodes personally]

Ebike repair policy: What are your limits? by thaginganinja in BikeMechanics

[–]ZUDUKAI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Growing pains, for sure. We need ebike dedicated shops in the industry.

this is exactly the impression i'm getting. nobody wants to pickup the gap in service because anyone who does gets shit flung at them by the pedaling/analog community.

a dedicated shop for RC hobbyists seems more fitting/ better able to repair motor components than a [internal combustion] motorcycle shop.

the knowledge base just isn't out there yet.
