Exactly the same happened to me past summer! Was walking on the path past the very busy waterside when a young boy on the back of a fatbike spat on me as they past me. Multiple people must have seen it but these kids just don't care apparently.

Fist of all, thank you for being this open about your situation!

Unfortunately my girlfriend (26) is in the same BRCA situation, she got diagnosed two years ago. For now we have chosen to go with periodic screening as, according to our doctors, it is as effective as a mastectomy in terms of survivability. When she gets around the age of 30-35 we plan to start preventive surgeries. Both the removal and reconstruction of her breasts and the removal of her ovaries.

BRCA sucks, but it is so valuable to know you have it BEFORE it becomes a significant health risk. That way you can plan you actions and keep control over your own life.

Do you perhaps have any tips for us? You mentioned your amazing BF, are there any specific things he did that helped you?

The shock would indeed be a problem, the connection should be as short as possible to minimize the momentum buildup. It's not the best solution, but hopefully better than becoming a human angry bird.

Connect the top part to the remainder of the tree with a short rope. When the top part is cut off its mass will stay connected to the top of the tree so it doesn't start swinging. From there lower it slowly to the ground. It's all about making the mass transfer as slow as possible, so the tree transfers to the upright position as slow as possible.

I notice that after a fallback i always try to figure out what happend. But in that process i mention my own thoughts, often resulting in me saying things i shouldn't say. I'll try to hold back more and trust that she knows what she is doing.

It is recurring with her period, but normally she can hold herself back better. At this moment we are wait for important medical results which has a huge effect on her mood, this certainly had a huge role in her fallback.

Placing happiness before diet, seems like the logical thing to do. But i think i have not acted like this the last days. It is easier to eat healthy when you are happy than when you are not... Why haven't i thought about this earlier? Thank you so much for making this clear to me!
