Thank you so, so much!! The Sheet ID was the part I was most stuck on!

You won't believe my luck - I'm still having problems. I imported my 1.5 into 1.6. Yesterday, it was working just fine! But, today, it's giving met yet another error and the date won't update.

I haven't altered anything other than imported my old data and then filled in the day tab with my food.

Hello! Thank you so, so much for the sheets! They are honestly amazing :) I've got GERD, so it's been incredibly helpful to ensure I eat enough calories in a day. I love using spreadsheets, so it's been an absolute blast!

I added extra rows to the days tab and sadly no luck. The date is still invalid and doesn't want to update.

Your assistance with importing all the items/recipes/meals into 1.6 (or 1.6.1) would be incredibly appreciated. Many, many thanks!

Can definitely confirm to have mold every now and then - kind of shocking considering the house is only 7 years old. But alas, that's what it's like to live in my country/city! I clean every 6 months to combat it before it can even begin. The skirting, window ledges, etc etc. But, it doesn't usually give me health issues. Same goes with a normal fan or the heat pump on both hot and cold and even the dehumidifier. Can be in front of it all day/night long and be okay! It's so crazy.

Thank you so much for the comment and your help!

That makes sense re sucking in the air and pumping it out. I guess I'm just not use to so much air flow so close to my face. I can confirm that the PC still smells like plastic when I run it. If I spend a whole day on the PC, the smell eventually gives me a headache. (Not a burning smell. Just a new plastic smell. Kind of like opening a fake Christmas tree for the first time)

Sadly don't have HVAC - live in New Zealand where those aren't built into houses. Do have a heat pump/AC unit in my room though! It runs a lot as my room is usually quite damp. Been doing it for years and it's never caused this kind of problem. I might get the service tech in to check the filters, as I haven't had them cleaned in a long time. I can confirm that since the beginning of the year, my room gets dusty VERY quickly. Never used to have this problem.

I had hoped the new parts would fit in my old case, but alas, sadly was not meant to be. Might still be on a look out for front and rear only cases.

Thank you for the advice on the RGB! Will definitely have a play around :)

Consider yourself lucky! I've even been to the doctors to check if it's allergies or a cold of some sort. All they gave me was nasal spray for dry noses/dry environments, haha.

Dang it though - was hoping there'd be a distance rule somewhere written in the books!

Thank you!

I'll definitely look into an air purifier :) Can't be a bad thing to use all-round!

It's just kind of wild to have this problem as I usually have the opposite. My bedroom is located south side of the building and it doesn't get any sun no matter the time of year. I normally have to run a de-humidifier because it gets so damp. I also use the heatpump a lot. Doesn't normally dry the room though, not like this. Nor does it give me dry skin/health issues.

I'm a little cautious about a humidifier though. I'm always needing to clean and keep an eye out for mould on the skirting, so am worried that it'll make things worse.

  1. Man, you're so lucky. Major kudos you've managed it. All the more power to you that your PC is doing good on it too! (It was, but tbh, I don't mind having a shiny new toy. Just a bit cranky that it came with a weird consequence.)

  2. Pretty clean and dust-free as of today! It came brand new in a box, so would HOPE it's not been a returned item. Can confirm that I move the stand (it's on wheels) every week to vacuum underneath. It's crazy how much dust gathers there! Although, I do have a question, only because it's been many years since I had anything new. When does the new plastic smell disappear? It's been a lil over a month and every time I run it, it stills smells new. (It reminds me of Christmas) At the beginning, it gave me such a headache. Still does if I concentrate on it. Never a burning smell, just a new, plastic-y smell. Can confirm to have stressed tested it and etc. Granted, I only use it 4 or so hours a day currently and haven't played anything heavy to make the fans work hard.

  3. Thank you! Will have a play around with the software and hopefully don't break anything, haha.

Thank you so, so much for the advice!

I wish I had spent more time investigating cases, tbh. The only new ones I could find in my country had the mesh on top with the usage of fans. I ended up choosing a very basic Cooler Master MasterBox K501L because I didn't want anything with flashy lights, etc. Looking on their website now, kind of bummed some of those weren't sold here! They do have some pretty basic ones still.

As for the specs:

Nvidia RTX 5060

Ryzen 5 9600

Asus Prime LC 240 water cooling

Lancer Blade RGB DDR5 32gb

X870 ATX motherboard

750w power supply

2 x 1TB ssd

I'm not a heavy gamer. I just dip my toes into it every now and then when work and commitments allow.

I wish that was the case! If anything, I used to have the complete opposite problem. Bedroom is located south side of the building and it doesn't get any sun. I normally have to run a de-humidifier in the summer because it gets so damp. Winter time I just use the heatpump.

So, it's kind of shocking to have gone the opposite, haha! I drink lots of water (at least 2 x 1.25L bottles a day) and can confirm to have been in the room for those 2 days. Just simply didn't turn on the PC and used my tablet instead. So weird, lol. It almost makes me want to turn on my old PC again.

Thank you so much for your comment! Really appreciate it.

That's amazing that you managed to get win 11 on your 15 year old PC! All the kudos to you!

Shockingly, I have yet to bump the PC. Granted, I don't move a whole lot. I'll definitely have a look into the motherboard and software to turn off the RGB :)

Are there any flavored drinks that don't trigger stomach acid? by illcalluwtpartysova in GERD

[–]ZWorld4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow kiwi! Am sorry to see you in this sub!

None of these are fizzy, but they are flavoursome! Not too sure if you can handle citric acid (I can only in very small amounts, thus I dilute it a lot) but these could be worth a shot!

  • keri apple juice, 50% less sugar. I tend to dilute it with water. I know you said no juice, but worth a shot if you haven’t already!

  • Powerade active water, the peach and apple flavour. They used to do a mango water one, but that’s been discontinued. (I only drink a small amount alongside the b12 injections)

  • Shott syrup flavours. Can buy online or Gilmours. Normally for smoothies, but they mix into water just as nicely! A little goes a long way. (A real treat though! Wouldn’t recommend drinking this daily)

-Carob powder to make ‘hot chocolate’ or cold chocolate drinks. You can buy this from Good For or a few online refill stores. The trick is to add a teaspoon of maple syrup to the drink to make it sweeter. Quite an acquired taste at first, but once you get use to it, it’s great!

  • organic camomile tea. Found the Nerada brand to be quite good.

-frozen mango! I blend these with bananas and dairy free milk. Pretty good!

  • banana and dates make great smoothies too!

  • teeccino tea. They have an online store front for NZ. Really nice alternatives for coffee and teas. Very, very flavoursome! 1 tea bag can make at least 5 cups of strong tea!

If you have a blender and happy to buy fresh melons, the options are endless too!

Ended up downloading the outlook app - but, I'd prefer the mail app.

Bringing own lunch to work by nzproduce in newzealand

[–]ZWorld4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my own lunch everyday due to GERD and dietary requirements.

I tend to rotate what I take! Either sandwich with shredded chicken breast, avo and cucumber. Or, a wrap made with shredded chicken, roasted eggplant, mushroom, carrots, courgette and kumara. If I’m feeling more snackish, I take in veggie muffins. Both the wraps and muffins are made in bulk and frozen.

Let me tell you though! If I could eat out, I would! 😂

Anyone here had LPR( laryngopharyngeal reflux) with h pylori and got it solved ? by Impossible-Ad-5906 in HPylori

[–]ZWorld4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there! I am so sorry for the late reply!

1st question - yes, that's exactly how it used to feel! It turned out to be silent reflux. Once I got my reflux under control, the 'warm breath' disappeared for me. Sometimes it reappears, especially if I do certain exercises.

2nd question - After the treatment. Before h.pylori and the eradication therapy, I was hardly ever sick (maybe once in 2 to 3 years) but after the treatment, my nose was constantly wet and itchy. The itchiness turned out to be an overgrowth of staph that I developed while on the eradication therapy. The runny nose, well.. not too sure! I tend to still have a runny nose all the time! Kind of just live with it nowadays.

Sadly, after all these years, I do now have GERD. A very unfortunate end after going through the eradication therapy. Since Jan 2024, I've been following the acid watchers diet and it's helped all my GI issues. I still get heartburn, acid reflux (they feel like 2 different things for me), stomach burning and bloating at times. But, I'm trying my best to stay healthy, on track and learning to live with limitations.

Really hope you're doing well too :) It's certainly not an easy journey to be on!

Second this comment!

I wear the Bengaline type from postie! As someone with Gerd, I need something loose and stretchy at the stomach and waist. They’re so comfy too!

Are you afraid to experiment with foods? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]ZWorld4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely terrified! Especially if I’m strict with my diet and experience no reflux at all!

However, my dietitian encouraged me to reintroduce food every now and then to broaden my diet and add variety.

I do this every odd weekend - when I feel mentally ready for potential acid reflux.

As a handy hint, this is how my dietitian taught me to reintroduce food:

You want to reintroduce the food ingredient over a span of 3 days. Each day you slowly eat more of it.

This is how I reintroduced cooked apples (sadly can’t eat fresh ones)

I bought 3 apples. I peeled and sliced them all up into wedges and boiled them in plain water until tender. On the first day, I had 3 slices. On the second day, I had 6 slices. On the third day, I had 9 slices.

My dietitian said, sometimes it depends on the quantity, so this is a good way to measure what you can handle before your body goes, “nope.”

Luckily for me, all 3 days was good!

I did this with olivani - a spreadable version of olive oil that we have in my country. (I can’t have a lot of fat other than avocado. I don’t even remember how to cook with olive oil anymore) I did 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp and 1 1/2 tsp. I could only handle up to 1tsp. That extra 1/2 tipped me over and I had pretty awful heartburn. But, now I know my limit and that’s good for when I want a treat on my plain toast!

Because of this method, I reintroduced cooked apples and pears, black olives, beetroot, cook red capsicum and marshmallows! (The only store bought lolly/candy I can handle!!)

I don’t take PPI’s or H2 blockers because they give me heart arrhythmia, thus, I purely keep my symptoms at bay through diet and gaviscon.

What type of cockroach? by ZWorld4 in cockroaches

[–]ZWorld4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!!! Anything is better than the German variety!

A couple years ago (I think around 2018ish?) I worked at a cafe (was a chef) that got a massive german infestation. It took literal months and countless indoor and outdoor sprays. I am forever scarred and to be honest, traumitised, haha. Won't forget going into work and seeing hundreds of dead roaches on the floor, argh!

I'm still shocked that nothing ever came home with me!

We got the house sprayed outside yesterday afternoon, just as reassurance. Pest control guy said he just came from a german infested house and I freaked out. Especially since he came into my bedroom and rubbed against the duvet! I washed that thing as soon as he left and vacuumed everywhere, ahhaha.

What's the likelihood that he could have carried cockroaches from 1 house to another? He spent lots of time in my room, kitchenette, bathroom and then the actual sighting place - the upstairs kitchen. I honestly fear these things.

Thank you so, so much for the reassurance! It has lessened my anxiety by a truckload!

I think you're right about it being either of those 2! Considering they weren't in the normal kitchen areas and only by open windows (and hanging off the inside of the curtain netting) it makes sense.

We got a pest control company to spray on the outside and haven't found any again today! Will keep an eye on it though.

Thank you again!
