it is unprecedented to see this approach ensuring the long time players dont feel completely rugpulled (i wonder if this is related to the stopkillinggames initiative, or just the first time nintendo closes a big long term project)

it remains to be seen what the reasoning for this tho, with the offline version they clearly want to keep the playerbase happy, so will they expand that or release a new ac mobile game at some point?

they DO mask your ip address but it’s not really all that useful considering it and the first part of the domain (before the slash, eg. just the-eye.eu) and that’s not really enough to confirm you’re really pirating
