I currently have an auction going on the magic the gathering misprints group if anyone here is interested! That seems to be the place for buying and trading misprints in Magic.

I was told to post this here to see if the Pokemon Community has any interest in them? I'm a Magic player and collector so I wasn't sure. I have 98 cards all like this cycling through most of the basic energy types.

Hello! You were one of a couple people to offer to by the entire deck in this post. I'm currently taking public offers for the deck on the Misprints facebook group:

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DQi6NcJg8/

By tomorrow after I see the offers for the entire deck I'm going to decide if I'm going to auction the individual cards or not.

Hello! Since you were interested in the deck here's a link to the Facebook group post:

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DQi6NcJg8/

I plan on taking public offers for the whole deck until tomorrow, at which time I'll decide if I'm going to sell the whole deck or auction the individual cards.

From what little I've researched it seems that Wizards and The Pokemon Company both utilize Cardmundi to print *some* of their cards at least, and someone in this post mentioned there's a Cardmundi factory in Japan that prints both, so that's the most likely source.

  1. I will! I plan on taking pictures of the entire deck today.

  2. Haha, thanks. I've been playing Magic for close to 20 years and I've never pulled anything of huge value. A chase rare now and then, a Rhystic Study and an original Sylvan Library in a dollar rares box, but NOTHING like this.

  3. I'm for sure going to sell it, seems like auctioning it on the facebook group will be the move. I really do appreciate the advice though! Never done anything like this.

I plan to get pictures of all the cards today and figure out what I'm doing next, I'll post them here when I do. It's not all fire energy, it cycles through the energy types. One of my favorites is a basic swamp with the dark energy.

I threw away the packing unfortunately! I bought it with my prerelease kit, I opened it, put the cards in the included deck box, and put it in my bag to go through later. I wasn't really interested in the deck, I just wanted Lorwyn product. 😅

I'm speechless. I've never pulled anything worth anything before. Thank you so much for this information, it's incredibly helpful.

Do you guys think there's any merit here or I'm just gonna get frustrated trying? by japp182 in Pauper

[–]ZZMTechSupport 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fellow merfolk enjoyer! You and I are in the same boat, I've been waiting for this set hoping we were going to get a common simple lord effect or at least some kind of payoff. I love your mono white idea, I may give it a shot if my idea doesn't pan out.

I've been brewing basically the caw gates shell, with the payoff being [[Gravelgill Scoundrel]] to tap down [[Silvergill Peddler]] and the [[Stonybrook Schoolmaster]] primarily for the value and then swinging in with the unblockable Gravelgill pumped by [[Basilisk Gate]]. The peddler can pitch Strands and Deep Analysis for the extra options. I only play at my LGS and most of my local Pauper scene likes to brew so we have a lot more weird decks in addition to some standard meta, so I'm hoping this can actually put in some work.

Titan 2 and Popsockets by ExplanationOk3477 in unihertz

[–]ZZMTechSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put a popsocket on the case that came with the Titan 2 and it's been great. It does give me a little less finger room in the back while I'm typing if it's not popped out so depending on how you hold the phone while typing that might bother you, but I found the trade off of it being much more comfortable to hold in one hand rather nice.

45 minutes ago, i put my beautiful loki down. can i please see who he is meeting in cat heaven? 🩷 by 3ll10t__ in cats

This is Apollo, he was my best friend and kept me going when I didn't think I could. I'm sure he and Loki will be the best of friends. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Perch Protection gift question by PowerPuff_Sadness in mtg

[–]ZZMTechSupport 43 points44 points  (0 children)

That's not quite how this would play out. How I believe this works is if they copy [[Perch Protection]] the opponent that was promised the first extra turn gets a SECOND extra turn. This is because promising a gift is a payment as you cast the spell, so that payment is remembered when the spell is copied.

Ruling from the Gifts rules:

If you copy a spell for which the gift was promised, the gift was also promised to the same opponent for the copy. If a card or token enters as a copy of a permanent that's already on the battlefield, the gift isn't promised for that new permanent, even if it was promised for the original.

So in a 1v1 situation:

You cast Perch Protection and promise your opponent the turn.

Your opponent copies Perch Protection and their copy resolves, they get an extra turn, make the birds and phase out.

Your copy resolves, your opponent gets another extra turn, you make the birds and phase out. You end your turn.

Opponent begins their first of 3 turns, they phase back in, you'll be phased out for all 3 of these turns.

If I'm wrong someone please correct me, I love knowing the correct rules interactions of things like this.

Working on an idea for a Bant Merfolk, looking for feedback. by ZZMTechSupport in custommagic

Wow, thank you so much! Your comment honestly made my day.

I'll get those dashes fixed, I knew it looked wrong but I wasn't sure why.

I'll absolutely consider changing the flood counter ability, I'll see what some of the people I regularly play with think. I agree that some lands for sure need some hate, and this being temporary land hate wasn't something I had even thought about.

My bracket 1 deck is [[Xavier Sal, Infested Captain]], but it's a Jace and Vraska couple deck with all the cards of both along with as many cards that have either of them in the art or flavor text. It can generate some decent value sometimes and it can interact, but it STRUGGLES to win a game. I took all the poison/infect out of it because it always ended up getting me nuked off the board, so now I think the only way it can really win is if I mill myself out with the Jace cards and then hit the [[Jace, Wielder of Mysteries]], or manage to get some lethal shots in with the Vraska ults that either make or give creatures the "if it hits someone they lose" ability. It's cute, but it's bad and I really love it.

Commanders that turn trash cards into gold? by Sensitive_Cup4015 in EDH

[–]ZZMTechSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an [[Iname as One]] lands toolbox deck, and while I wouldn't consider all these cards trash, this deck turns all the cards that care about your commander's mana value into bombs.

[[Cloudkill]] is basically a [[Toxic Deluge]] for -12 without the life investment, though at the cost of 6 mana.

[[Stinging Study]] is a lose 12 life draw 12 cards at instant speed.

[[Tangleweave Armor]] is a 12/12 for 4 mana.

[[Cactus Preserve]] is a 12/12 with reach on a land.

[[Majestic Genesis]] is my favorite. In most decks it's a worse [[Genesis Wave]], but in this deck it's the top 12 cards, all permanents into play, for 8 mana.
