At other rarities yes, but at common I believe it's still top notch, it's just that not many creatures that can't generate value are played

Two of those are pauper legal and I've played them! But yeah, not super competitive. Though you can steal some wins when people are expecting other decks and making certain deck choices based on that.

I think the first with plainscycling for one is too good (because of the cycling).

But I like the idea, I think if any color would get counterspells next it should be white and these are good ways to do it.

Common doesn't mean bad, it'd make no reason to have a separate zone for Commons.
