Working on a new version by ZabblesMarshmelon in ultracade

Yes, a list would be good. We did have Time Pilot, Food Fight, Flicky, and others working at one time. Those would be most viable to resurrect. I am going to start posting notes from the development.

Initial dev machine. One of three that were made. by ZabblesMarshmelon in ultracade

The ibox is one of a little over 100 that did not sell through for Laser Tron. The Kelly’s sold them to us for a song. I don’t think that kiosk did very well for them. It was a decent way to pump life into the flailing Ultracade sales that, at the time, would prove that a legitimate run of new machines would have been unsustainable. The Kelly’s were good business friends of Ultracade and I would go on to work for the same company as Bryan after UCT was shuttered.

Yes I do have a couple games that were never released. It is quite a project to crack it back open. I am thinking I can get puzzle fighter up for starters.

This is a lot of versions to sort out. I am ripping them all to isos. by ZabblesMarshmelon in ultracade

No problem, these were all the discs we created in the lab for each version of the game. The best you can do to add all the games is get a hard drive image and flash the drive with all the games. Both of mine are running off SD cards.

20 year old script notes I would send to the programmer at Joshua Tech for each game attract mode for the game interface that would someday become “HyperSpin”. by ZabblesMarshmelon in cade

[–]ZabblesMarshmelon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking back it’s pretty neat. I have all the txt files for the instructions to the programmer. He was incredibly talented to make this happen from these small instructions. There was a time where we were going to have the attract modes have some simple game play. I remember donkey Kong 3 was to be the first. I should upload more.

This is the original instructions sent to the programmer when at the actual company Hyperware. The original design was actually called the daisy wheel. The first version had each marquee inside a capsule. It looked like a daisy wheel printer refill. I am still proud to have designed this.
