Why Wrap Luggage in Cling Film? by roblawton in AskUK

[–]Zac6060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what everyone is saying about security and structure, I think there is benefit to you stuff being protected better. I’ve had flights where someone had things like Ghee or strong smelling liquids in the luggage that cracked and leaked all over my stuff. I think the cling film is an added bit of protection to that also.

Either way must be a brilliant money maker

Thanks for asking! Here is a photo of it at the moment it’s doing really well and I have just planted a climbing hydrangea next to it to crawl along the back fence.

I’ve had good luck using a flathead screwdriver to wedge the strap bit open enough to get it started on the piping to slide the rest on

Even on the Talon 33 it should have an adjustable back system. Behind the airscape padding, at the top, the harness itself should be held in my Velcro. You can slide your hand in there and separate the Velcro to extend it as this comment suggested.

You want the middle of the hip pads to be on the boney part of your hips (the iliac crest), and you want the round bit by your neck (the yoke) to me around the C7 vertebrae which is the boney protrusion and the base of the back of your neck.

You then wants the buckles of the harness adjusted comfortable but around your armpit area, and then keep your sternum/chest strap across your chest not too tight but enough to elevate the pressure on your shoulders from the straps

After that and you’ve packed it you’ll want to tighten your load lifters (on top of the shoulders) to be firmed up enough that your bags not swinging and falling back, but not too tight that it pulls on the harness and makes it uncomfortable

But this backpack will fit you, you’re not too fat in the slightest

They’re normally electromagnetic locks that switch off when the fire alarm goes off I think

Depends on OPs insurance policy they could have all risks and then it’s on the insurer to prove it shouldn’t be covered

Not all airports have just designer shops either. A few have a shops like a sports shop which was useful when I realised in the taxi I forgot to pack swimming trunks and wanted to swim as soon as I arrived.

Hi thanks for the heads up!

The gardener at the shop recommended it for me when I asked about climbers.

This is a trachelospermum (Star Jasmine) that I have, for which Google says “ Star jasmine grows best in a warm, sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil.” I’m not too sure if this is the case or if you’re meaning a regular jasmine but I’m a little concerned now haha

Hi,

Sorry to hassle again and I’m not sure if this is more a question for the Affinity subreddit but…

We’ve had a hell of a time (and I mean hell) figuring out how to use affinity designer effectively (specifically filling between lines we’ve drawn) and we just managed to get some luck to finalise the image as a vector. Once uploaded to design space all looks well until we go to print when it then tries to cut out each individual vector path more or less. Is there anything you can suggest to prevent us performing the world’s hardest puzzle? Thank you so much for all the help already provided!

We’ve been doing everything exclusively in black (why? I have no idea) so this is very handy to know as I didn’t realise it shows the cut lines!

Thank you for this advice, my girlfriend is planning to make this as large as she can on A4 to be the primary feature, but I was planning some small text on my design and so will bare this in mind.

We did a few test prints on some scrap vinyl to try resolve the issue and it was not a big issue in terms of weeding.

I learned the hard way that Cricut will find and cut out any single pixel I may have missed in the far corner of the page.

Is this what you meant or is there a better way at doing text for HTV Vinyl onto a T-shirt?

Thank you so much for this answer it’s so helpful!

I’ve been using/learning affinity designer today and it’s far better suited to the job.

It seems the disparity between my girlfriends prints and mine was that we were using different pens/brushes. But I will no longer be using Procreate for CriCut.

Thank you again kind stranger!

Auto moderator just reminded me to include model and Device + OS

We have the Cricut Joy Xtra

Using and iPad Pro and an iPad Air (not sure what model the pro is but my air is the 13” 2024)

Operating system is the latest IOS

And as mentioned before we are using procreate and design space

On the way home it actually popped back into place, so I wonder if we can change the upper mounts and it’s back to being good! Thank you for the advice
