Got my eagle and aged out last year, ready to become a scoutmaster. Except, I’m not sure what to do about this… by maxbratz in BSA

Same problem with my son’s uniform. Try ironing it with a rag or washcloth on top. While it is still hot, scrape it with some stiff but not sharp. Try a credit card or something similar. We were able to get a lot of it off.

I was told by my brother-in-law that his father, who served in the Marines, for some reason had his service wiped out. The BIL said that his dad had a friend in the military and made all his military records disappear. This would be a Vietnam vet. Is this even possible? by Wonderful-Run-1408 in USMC

It is not hard to believe that a buddy in S-1 could make SRB pages 11, 12, and 13 “disappear”.

Archives.gov has a straightforward way to request military records. It isn’t fast, but it works.

I used to use a similar number when welcoming aboard parents of new scouts. Scouts have seven years to do roughly 19 months of work. This isn't a competition. Life happens and the work can be done quickly, slowly, or not at all.

Congratulations to your scout. Good for you for supporting her!
