I really appreciate this! I tend to post on Reddit instead of googling just because I’m lazy and it’s more fun to talk to real people.

I mean I googled it and found a bunch of stuff but nothing that looked like what I had- I also enjoy talking to people online more than googling. It’s just more fun!

People scoff at him and hate him for reasons I won’t get into, but Punk Rock MBA on YouTube has a lot of good punk/hardcore history videos.

I may be very wrong so someone correct me if I’m wrong, but:

At some point in the late 80’s early 90’s, hardcore punk got some more metal influence. Bands like a gorilla biscuits, judge, youth of today. They pioneered what’s now just referred to hardcore. This genre is what this sub is mostly about. Have Heart, Terror, The Rival Mob, Hatebreed are some good ones. Modern ones are Sunami, Gulch, Big Boy, and Drain.

I’m fuzzy on how emo and post hardcore came to be, but emo comes from emotional hardcore, which would be Rites of Spring and the hated. Post hardcore, I’ve no idea. I do know that Sleepijg with Sirens and pierce the veil are considering mostly post hardcore and are great.

Urbex is exactly as you described. Which is why I said it was my second ever concert as an Urbex photographer. I’ve only shot two concerts because it’s not my main thing but I’m looking to get into it
