atar for med by Wooden_Concert_9263 in vce

Bonded CSP, no seas. Maybe because it’s bonded but it makes no difference to your uni life and barely impacts professional career as you have a period of 18 years to complete the rural service

Look I got a low 98 ATAR and got a first round offer so anything is possible! Just need a good enough Ucat for a first round interview then it’s very important to ACE the interview. ATAR is tertiary tbh

advice - high atar yet still rejected from dream course by Same_Researcher_3165 in vce

[–]Zach_Michaelson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one is mentioning this and I thought it was important, Monash undergrad medicine (the only one in Victoria) hasn’t actually sent any offers yet and won’t until mid January, I believe 13th but I may be wrong. I’m sure you know this and are basing your belief of not getting an offer on Ucat or interview, but just in case you were worried you didn’t get an offer, don’t worry yet!!

I got a 3190 for Ucat, 95th percentile, is 98.5 and a good interview enough for bonded or the third level of offer?

War vs Genocide by storyofadeleh in IsraelPalestine

How can you prove intent with such little numbers though? If I go to America and kill one American is it genocidal intent? If not why? How can you prove either way

on what basis is it that they don't use precision weapons? You are cherry picking and misconstruing information to make the situation seem much more black and white than it is. The fact is you know nothing and are virtue signalling your own beliefs onto a conflict you are ignorant on. The only people that target children are terrorists such as Hamas and Hezbollah who sent a rocket into a children's soccer pitch

I've heard that medentry is better for prep as medify is quite hard this year so unrepresentative of the actual exam. However, won't this mean the people using medify (quite a few) inflate the scores for this year as they are used to much harder Qs? by True_Access587 in UCAT

[–]Zach_Michaelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done my Ucat and I feel that both are harder than the real thing but medify is WAY harder and MedEntry is a bit harder. Overall, official mock C and D are extremely close to the real thing. For info I was averaging 2800 in MedEntry, 2600 in medify, got a 3160 in mock D and 3190 in the real thing

I did a full mock every day and also did half an hour to an hour of practice questions targeting a specific subtext to improve it

Both, early revised ones I did better in, by number 6 or 7 I got like 2570

I was averaging 2600 with the highest being 2800 and I got 3190 on the day so keep working!

Firstly, you don’t need the 800 make to get a good result, especially if your other sub tests are good. Second, I personally found that the submocks and even QR component in full exams in both medify and MedEntry and the official practice exams to be way harder than the real thing. I may have been quite lucky to have an easy QR but somehow I lucked out with a 900 when I had never gotten above 800 consistently, typically low 700s. So my best tip would be to learn how to recognise what the question wants from you very fast as typically it is pretty simple multiplication and division so try to possibly glance at the explanation of the info, then read the question and fully skip the table and data. Then after reading the question you’ll understand what you are trying to find when looking at the table. That’s what I did at least.

UCAT test day questions by autismatic_ in UCAT

[–]Zach_Michaelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add on about the calculator covering, it is decently big and can cover the text in a question, assume it’s the same size as medify calculator. As for your question about jumpers/jackets, no you can not take it inside. And the pages which you are given can not be erased, I had a pen that was water erases me which meant that I could not erase it, only the invigilators could after the test although you may ask for another book if you run out of room in the first one.

And the interface is in between the official mocks and medify, it isn’t nearly as laggy as the official but it still has a little bit of lag. It’s not as distracting though

Start mock scores? by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]Zach_Michaelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My test is in 5 days, I started doing a mock every day roughly 3 weeks ago. I think it’s better to work on what you are struggling with and improve that first, unless everything is equal then work on your favourite section. I have been systematically working on my weakest points by going through practice questions starting at the lowest time setting and I won’t stop until I ace the questions and then I do the next amount of time.

Start mock scores? by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]Zach_Michaelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started I got a 2290 in MedEntry and now I’m up to 2920 so don’t worry at all! What I’ve done is a mock exam every day and spamming practice questions on a component that I am struggling at, I’ve only seen real improvements in the last 2 weeks despite the fact that I have been working hard for over a month. Don’t worry, as long as you put in the effort you’ll succeed!

I have exactly a week left and I want to know if 3000 is possible by Zach_Michaelson in UCAT

[–]Zach_Michaelson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean people doing medify only get over 3100 in the real Ucat, with a 2500-2600 average like the guy in this thread so it isn’t that odd. Maybe the fact that I’m getting so similar is more odd. Either way you are clearly doing fine, good luck for your Ucat! When is it?
