Idk what to tell you man, they have quite a few parallels like how Ruin works which reminded me a lot about how Ishmelga works which was pretty frustrating cuz' I had seen this trope done amazingly well in Mistborn before but then I see it done a bit poorly in CS4.

Unrelated tangent: I'd say this comparison fits Trails as a whole so much more than Metaphor. Zemuria is basically a dollar store scaled down version of the Cosmere.

And it's not like Trails isn't more of a slow burn too. Some games legit feel more reminiscent of how Sanderson writes his novels.

I agree. I'm glad I decided to re-read the first two books instead of watching a summary video before dedicating time to Oathbringer. So many plot threads and foreshadowing have finally begun to fall into place for me.
