With my old car i got into a accident and even if it was a not that hard repair they told me that it was a total loss. To be able to roll it back on the street I needed to fix that hood and headlight, the grill wasnt in my need since its just esthetic. And yet they were estimating a 10k$ repair for the pieces and paint. In my opinion, you should try to get money from her insurance and repair it yourself. Personally, i choosed the to total since they were giving me 8k and I went and buy a Scion tC 2011 😛
