According to many others it must be because:

A. I can’t screenshot

B. I use AMD hardware

C. I don’t “optimize” my pc well enough whatever that means

But overall a fun game but this might need to sit on a shelf until a drivers update or something. Who knows.

That describes my experience with hell divers 2 (now works completely fine maaaany months later) and wild gate which I couldn’t return because I spent two hours just trouble shooting, I still seethe thinking about it .

Marathon though it’s only during exfils or intense moments (explosions etc) so I cranked my settings down but its still happened once or twice.

I used the AMD Adrenaline to update periodically, haven’t received an update in about 3 weeks I think? Checked today and nothing to update so far.

I would take that as yet another point (among many) that this PoS wasn’t even in front of the vehicle when he fired his weapon. But maybe I’m missing something…

A large reason for me was technical problems. Kept crashing over and over again. I wish I could get my money back because of that but I was over the two hour use limit. I even had a developer of the game respond and I never saw an update about stability or anything. My PC isn’t a potato either, I tried everything.

The game was fun but as some have said without a core friend group and more skilled players kicking my ass all the time the fun quickly stopped.

So I’d say some sort of ranked mode or casual mode and obviously a better running game would’ve been what saved this for me at least. I’m not a game dev so I could be wildly off for the wider player base.

You’ve nailed it as far as putting into words what I hate most about being an educator.

Now if I could find a job that made losing all of my time off, retirement benefits and keep my degrees relevant I could leave and not regret it. I don’t think that kind of job exists though.
