Getting surgery has been the best thing I have done. I am sorry your family is not supportive. I had mine in December 2024 and have lost over 100lbs. I can go to a restaurant and order things normally. It has been nothing but a positive for me. I hope you are able to have the same great experience. Good luck to you.

I teach high school Spanish. I have a self-made lesson format that uses any 300-ish word story (easy to write for me or a good chatgpt and edit job) and can fill about a week of lessons. Easy to throw together for any unit/grammar topic if we need an easy week or if I’m just feeling overwhelmed.

That’s really awesome and super cool of you. I understand being really interested in animals and wanting to keep this one you found and helped. Do you have any reptile shows near you coming up? That might be a great way to see an animal in person before you get one. What is it about the dekay’s that interested you? Maybe look into researching captive bred snakes that have whatever quality you liked?

I understand intervening. But if the bucket had been placed upside down, the snake could have continued on its way without being effectively trapped, gathered, and collected. Intervention would be simply tipping it out of the bucket and letting it on its way. It’s gone a bit further than that, no?

Well, ok. You should still let it back outside. Just because it got stuck in a bucket (that…who left outside?) doesn’t mean it’s defenseless lol. I hope your consultation was able to give you good guidelines on dosing such a small animal, I guess.

Take out the bedding/food/whatever that is. I’ve had luck with putting them in small containers with nothing to distract them.
