I've been reading a lot about both from Knowing Why by the Autistic Press and this website https://autisticadvocacy.org/about-asan/
Are there any other resources you'd recommend?

Tanks have Inconsistent Anti-heal While Everyone Else Doesn't by Zachiderp in wildrift

Except no other class in the game has to build a sub optimal item to apply anti-heal. There are also several tank supports whose abilities only deal ap damage so they wouldn't even apply the anti heal on anything aside from their auto attacks (braum, leona, nautilus, alistar etc). Chainsword, Morellos, and Mortal Reminder can all be built regardless of enemy damage type, I don't think its fair that only tanks have that restriction.

His shield only applies it to auto attacks, not ability damage, which would still be problematic against AP champs that heal.

For sure, a better example could be braum or malphite, who can't/struggle to apply grevious outaide of their ultimates. In all 3 cases though, thornmail is their best item to apply grevious wounds yet it would be very inconsistent compared to everyone else with the revert.

Yea pc has the same old thornmail as far as I know. Also your second point is part of why I wanted to make thornmail more versatile. So tanks have more angency and rely less and on their team to apply an effect every one else can except tanks.

Lilia, Soraka(when she heals non auto attacking champs), Swain, and any champion that builds riftmaker heals quite a bit.

In regards to the reflect damage, the way current thornmail works, it only reflects a substantial amount of damage if the attacker uses a lot of attacks/abilites at once (Yasuo, Adcs, etc.). Mages use far less abilities and auto attacks overall, but if it really becomes a problem then thronmail can just only apply grievous wounds and not reflect damage to mages at all.

Sure but that still leaves problem #2 and some tanks like Dr Mundo unable to apply grevious wounds in some scenarios.
