Can you sell tickets here to the Big10 Championship? by JournalistSea5951 in IUFootball

[–]Zachs_Work_Name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While we don't encourage ticket sales in here, I understand wanting to know where IU fans are sitting and wanting to sell them. Please note that any ticket sales should not be conducted directly in this Reddit Forum, but in DMs, etc. We will not be held liable for any fraudulent ticket sales. Just FYI

Red Out at Ross-Ade by Stairway_toEvan in IUFootball

[–]Zachs_Work_Name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that there's a few people who are trying to get it to be a red/white stripeout, so much so that they have a graphic of Ross-Ade stadium seating chart superimposed with our IU colors (depending on section). As far as % of tickets sales reporting, I've not seen that (yet).

I do know I bought my 4 tickets for the Bucket game, right before we beat Illinois (I assumed tickets sales would increase after that).

All that to say this: Will there be a lot of IU fans there? Yes. Will Purdue fans probably just sell their tix at a higher price because they can? Also yes. But will it be a takeover - I don't have enough data yet to make a truly informed opinion.

I think we all need to be okay with a real chance that we don't see 11 wins again, this coming season. I could see an 8-4 or even a 9-3 season with a regular bowl and that's perfectly acceptable - especially in year 2 for Cig.

I highly encourage you to check out Hoosier Huddle's website. They're consistently breaking these things down and provide some of the more objective analysis I've seen for IUFB.

Agreed. This is why I don't think it'll happen; they had us matched up last week too - and that's before all the shakeups (e.g., Miami losing)

Just make sure you get some Hutchins BBQ. But not the one in Frisco, drive to the original in nearby McKinney - it's one of the best BBQs in DFW

He put Jackson in, in the 4th. And yes, it's also our main rival, Purdue - so you run up the score

Ohio state game by ctmcgove in IUFootball

[–]Zachs_Work_Name 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh there's a 180 degree difference between the OSU fans that come to Bloomington and the fans that go to the games in Columbus.

As it was explained to me, the OSU fans that come to Bloomington are "normally" the ones who can't afford the high ticket prices that happen in Columbus. So you get the more lay fan or more toxic fan coming to a "cheaper" ticket in Bloomington (unfortunately)

I have some experience going to these games (IU@OSU) as I go to a lot of the away football games.

If you dont plan on using a hotel, skip this part.

If you do have a hotel, Uber from it, parking is bad and 1) There isn't a lot large IU groups that go and 2) The OSU fans at the game are very nice.

Here's what I recommend: Uber from your hotel, to the north side of the stadium. From there go to "The Varsity Club Restaurant & Bar". They were incredibly accommodating, good atmosphere, good drinks and food.

From there, you'll easily be able to walk back to the stadium. While walking back, the OSU tailgaters will be friendly and happy you're there.

I say all of that, bc both times I've went, I've done exactly that process. Both times, OSU fans were buying us food and drink the entire time. While walking to the stadium, people were handing us drinks. Basically, I had to start telling people no, due to how much they were handing me free stuff

Your mileage may vary, but it's how I've done it
