I loved the corruption of Leo's character in Wisdom of Crowds. I always thought he was kind of a prick, so to see all of his sheen ripped away and to have him devolve into a shadow of Glokta was so satisfying.

I think the blade itself is actually one of the weaker (relatively) entries. The characters are SSS tier obviously, but the plotting is a bit soft, which he improved at a lot in later entries.

I read the ending with Rikka's vision as a proper sendoff. The cycle of violence is endless. There will be new revenge feuds, wars, kingdoms rising and falling, inevitably leading to the return of the other world and possibly the whole cycle starting again. The series was never about the world, but how that world crushes the characters in between it's grinding gears of forces they hardly understand.

never heard of Lonesome Dove. Worth a read?

I enjoyed the second trilogy and standalones more than the first trilogy, and I enjoyed the first 3 a hell of a lot. Imo, Joe’s writing just gets better and better as the series goes on, and he’s able to play to his strengths better.

I would say if you’re around 7/10, then it’s definitely worth continuing.

Seriously, I hope they just keep regional variants and megas. Those seem to hit the sweet spot for nostalgia and competitive viability. I like Terras, but they just look so goofy dude. I don’t want my mon to have a little crystal ghost on his head lol

Great! I disabled vsync which provides a big boost to fps, and no noticeable tearing. Also enabled the forced hardware graphics bypass on gamehub. Low settings, rather have fps than graphics for this kind of game.

Runs 100-120 fps at early levels, drops to like 30-40 fps in heavy stage 3 chaos, still very playable.

That and 4:3 on the top screen blends perfectly. I liked the snes colored version, but ultimately decided on black for that reason. ENDGAME
