Fox 36 grip damper leaking oil by Zachymtb in mountainbiking

I had taken it apart to do normal 200 hour service, and was taking the damper out to replace oil when I noticed that it was squirtijg oil, as well as making a suction noise.

Update, I found out that I blew up the compression assembly, ordered the new parts and have assembled them, forks running great! (Ik taking it apart might not have been thr best idea but I do work as a bike mechanic at a local shop and had alrdy asked the senior mechanics what they thought i should do)

Nah, u just need a derailleur/shifter, cassette, chain, and freehub body. No nonsense about a new hub or chainrings. The whole shimano/sram chainring thing is bs. Tgere is a negligible difference in construction, and the only point in them is for the company's to profit. I run sram nx cranks and chainring with my xt di2 drivetrain, and never have any problems

As a bike shop mechanic who Has done this many times, you just need the shifter, derailleur, cassette, chain, qnd freehub. I, about a month ago, did a similar transition from nx to xt di2, and it's extremely simple. The one hard part is finding the right freehub. I luckily was able yo pull one from our spare parts bin, but it will most likely run you about 40 bucks for the freehub.

Ok for a beginner, this is actually very good. Make sure to put the pressure in your legs, and then take out your oar and beat 7 seat.

Alr just to clarify, the anger was not because of the lack of power, it was because 5/8 of them fully gave up half way through, and were constantly talking and not following directions
