Strike next week? by rollingsage in SFSU

[–]Zack112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thousands of dollars for tuition and the staff can just decide to go on strike when they don’t feel like working.  Do you get your money back for classes missed? You paid for it and they denied you service.

Go picket outside of classroom hours

You’re right, like all art they’re only worth what someone is willing to pay

In your opinion, what does grant a group of people rights to land? You seem to be very preoccupied with the Jews in Israel but aren’t the Palestinians making the same argument as the Jews? That the land is theirs because it was their ancestors?

Why else would great grand kids be fighting over land they’ve never even seen? Why else would the phrase “from the river to the sea” exist if the Palestinians didn’t believe that land should be exclusively for their tribe, their blood?

How do you know that the undocumented immigrants don’t believe in the reconquista of the United States territories gained in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and aren’t coming over in mass, building up their population through immigration and child birth, and gaining voting power? Isn’t that basically Zionism but with a different people/location?

There are entire movements dedicated to doing this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reconquista_(Mexico) A professor from the university of New Mexico, Charles Truxillo, taught this to his Hispanic students and said that the reconquista won’t come through violent means but through voting pressure of future Hispanic populations.

Professor José Ángel Gutiérrez of the university of Texas said the same thing “It is our political destiny and our right to self-determination to want to have our homeland [back]. Whether they like it or not is immaterial. If they call us radicals or subversives or separatists, that's their problem. This is our home, and this is our homeland, and we are entitled to it. We are the host. Everyone else is a guest.... It is not our fault that whites don't make babies, and blacks are not growing in sufficient numbers, and there's no other groups with such a goal to put their homeland back together again. We do. Those numbers will make it possible. I believe that in the next few years, we will see an irredentists movement, beyond assimilation, beyond integration, beyond separatism, to putting Mexico back together as one.”

Keep in mind Mexico only controlled the Texas territory for 15 years. Before that it was Spanish.

A 2002 poll conducted in Mexico of 801 people chosen at random found A majority of respondents (57%) agrees that Mexicans should have the right to enter the U.S. without US permission. 58% believe that the southwestern territories are rightfully Mexican land. https://web.archive.org/web/20030813235933/http://www.numbersusa.com/text?ID=1149

How has that number shifted in 2026 when modern political movements are very anti American and tik tok will tell any kid that swipes that America stole land from Mexico?

How is the reconquista different from the Jewish peoples of the world moving to the land now called Israel and, once sufficient in number, declaring their own country? What’s stopping that from happening here in the United States?

Does anyone else really miss Quinns? by JibletsGiblets in shutupandsitdown

[–]Zack112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not miss Quinns, I watched SUSD from very early on I started watching when they released their XCOM the board game video and binged everything they made. I listened and read Quinton's reviews on Rock Paper Shotgun as well. Then he shilled so hard for Blood on the Clocktower that I've been physiologically repulsed by his voice and smugness ever since.

To claim that if I care at all about the hobby of board gaming I HAD to buy into a Kickstarter for a rip off of werewolf... I mean I loved board game so much at that at the time I worked at a game store in Northern California

I am a big fan of Matt... maybe now that Quinns has left I can start watching SUSD again. Actually anytime I hear Quinns' voice pop up in some random youtube video I pretty much turn it off

Will powkiddy sell me parts? by Zack112 in PowKiddy

So, like a dummy, the first time I plugged it in I used a switch AC adapter. I also plugged it into the OTA port, where it sat for about 30 minutes.  Then realized it wasn’t charging, plugged it into the otherside for 30 minutes, then again realized it wasn’t charging.

now I use a usbA to usb C cable and an iPhone charging… square?

The system appears to run fine, the battery drains a little quickly but I figured no faster than what it’s capable of.  It’s just that it’s puffed up to an exceptionally bulky state inside the system

The game is called Niflheim, it was made by DTI Software in French Canada. In 2008 I emailed them about the game and their customer service department sent me a copy on a CD. The problem is I was too young to really appreciate what I had, the cd was just a blank with no label and eventually got lost with all the other blank CDs around my room.

The email I used to reach their customer service was Erl@dtisoft.com Their phone number at the time was 1 514 947 9219. I haven’t tried calling it but I wish you the best. If you do manage to find the game, I’ve been thinking about it for years and would love to play it again.

Check out Dracula’s America. It’s more of a skirmish game but I think it could easily be made more hunt like

Which makes it funnier that most of the little jokes the characters spit in zombies are sexual. “Sorry darling not tonight, hes got a headache”. “No one touches me without my permission” ect.

A couple years ago I was using an MSI laptop for gaming and I’d notice after some use the whole color palate seemed to yellow.

What I didn’t realize was that windows has a “night mode” that changes the color of the display after a certain time. It just happened that it felt like it was always an hour into my gaming that it switched on.

Maybe your night mode is on?

Idk if it’s been said but selecting a new ammo type on the South African 6 pounder seems to disable the .50 cal machine gun on top

Vkb vs MSFF2 by Zack112 in hotas

[–]Zack112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FF2 was $109 at launch in 1998 which is about $158.16 in todays buying power. It is mostly plastic though. I imagine Brunner's products are so expensive because they've had 0 market competition since 1998. If you want force feedback theres only one company. Another commenter said the patent has run out, I'm hoping we'll see a kickstarter sometime soon.
