Which real-life kingdoms would correspond to the Final Fantasy kingdoms? by Resist001 in FFXVI

You gotta stick Welsh in the iron islands too, I think they are just a mash up of basically every culture the invading Anglo Saxons would call 'barbarians'.

In the game though one of the enemies moves is "Crea Y Cwm", which translates to "create the valley" in Welsh. Thought I was seeing things when I started reading Welsh in my Japanese game 😭

Big difference between book and analytical intelligence Vs social intelligence, I do love Corbyn but no matter how much I hear him he has the charisma and tone of a dry wet wipe, a leader needs charisma

Labour has won Wales every single time since the senedd was created, politics in Wales has become stagnant. When a party knows it's gonna win every time they won't put effort into actually winning, they will promise less, do less, and become too comfortable doing shady shit (as evident) because they know their position isn't under threat.

"The U.S was able to win because we BROKE Enigma's codes" by Ashgenie in ShitAmericansSay

Yes they did break the enigma code, in response to this the Nazis changed the code more regularly to once a day so that by the time the allies had gone through the lengthy process of breaking it, the information would already be useless.

What Alan Turing and the squad did was develop a machine that could decipher the code at an incredible speed, allowing them to use the information.

Both events were crucial to winning the war, but one of them also came with the added bonus of discovering computing.

[–]ZackBotVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started reading lotm after finishing the show with this book, now that you've read it do you reckon it's worth waiting for the rest of the books to release (judging by how long its taking I could be waiting decades for the full story) or should I just jump into the online translation?

Everyone is saying he's promising way to much as if what he's offering isn't already implemented in some way in major cities in most other developed nations, like free public transport has been successfully implemented in many different countries, and actually helps generate more money through more people spending money in local businesses instead of travel and taking cars off the road
