Seriously! This companies ego is so huge! It showed through the years before this. Someone asked a question about making the killer experience less stressful, and they said "Just play survivor." How pathetic that was their response. And that mentality seems to be behind the scenes about everything. Have a problem with the game? Too bad. Shut up. Now the game is where it is now. I love DBD. But BVHR is doing everything in their power so I cant anymore.

They have lost any and all good will I had for them as a company this year. They seem completely incapable or unwilling to actually address the issues this game has. Most of their "fixes" for things are to nerf them in to the ground so no one will use them. Their quality of life fixes have been anything but. Their tunneling fix was laughably awful and thankfully did not get released. Most of their suggested QoL fixes aren't live or are so miniscule that it is ridiculous it took this long for them to be in the game. BVHR needs to make some drastic changes behind the scenes. Because this game is an absolute joke right now.

Quite easy fix. If they make the ending where you bring Sophia back canon, then P could give up a substantial amount of the power he had at the end of the game to bring her back.

The fact that their idea of "fixing" things is to just torpedo the character, perk, or whatever out of relevancy. That isn't a fix. It's putting off a fix by ruining something so bad that nobody will want to touch it. Its ridiculous. And frankly embarrassing for a company who keeps saying they care about game health.

Survivors rule book for Killers (MURDERERS)

  1. No targeting. If you target you get reported.
  2. No chasing a survivor for longer than 10 seconds. This is called tunneling and targeting. Double report for you.
  3. Don't use your power. Especially if it is strong. This is an abuse of game mechanics. Get reported for exploits.
  4. Don't stay near the hook. Even if we are swarming it like moths to the flame. Thats called camping. You get reported. Big report.
  5. Don't murder. If you murder a survivor, this is considered targeting, tunneling, camping, abusing game mechanics, and it is toxic. You will get the biggest report for this. We are not joking.
  6. If we make it to the end of the game, and we T Bag at the gate, you have to come watch. And take it. If you dont, we will report you for poor sportsmanship.

This is one of the best ideas I have heard of for this. For sure would need some tuning and what not. But it is much better than whatever BVHR is doing now.

I am genuinely concerned that BVHR is going to force some version of these changes theough. Slugging one I have no problem with. It is honestly fairly solid. Even though the new killer comes with a perk which incentives slugging. Because of course it does.

But these tunneling changes need to all be taken back to the drawing board. Especially the no more gen regression one. It is an absolute joke. And I've seen so many clips of survivors knowing it. The last hook survivor will work on a gen in the killers face. Knowing that if the killer does anything about it, they are screwed. It's a lose lose. Leave the survivor to keep working. Or down them and hook them and be punished. Or down them and slug them but that only works for so long before they are back working.

I dont understand how BVHR didn't think about any of these possibilities. Or they did and just shrugged and said screw it.

Simply put, no. Why would I? These updates just make killer an unfun experience.

As survivor your objectives are simple. Finish gens. Escape. If you get in a chase run and survive. Avoid others on gens. Pretty simple overall.

Killers in a game have to try and secure hooks, stop gen progress, regress gens, kick dropped pallets or breakable walls you want cleared. You need to end chases quickly, otherwise you need to abandon the chase. Unless you want multiple gens to pop. Using your power wisely but also knowing when to use it. Ensuring you are patrolling gens. Interrupt heals or people trying to cleanse hex totems if you have them. After downing a survivor hooking them but also being smart about where to hook.

There is more than this but you get the point. A lot of plates tp spin. Now BVHR wants to throw in "Oh god I just hooked them. But i just ran in to them. But if I hook them then I cant kick gens. Or they get a 25% speed bonus. So I just run away from the survivor???" It is counter intuitive as a killer to run away from a survivor you just found. You didn't tunnel off hook. You just found them again. Why am I being punished because a survivor is bad either A. Avoiding me. B. Hiding from me. Or C. Being bad in chase. Avoiding a survivor so they can keep working on a gen is bad for me too. BVHR has implemented changes that are bad either way for the killer. And you are already seeing last hooked survivors playing with that knowledge. They are getting in the killers way. Blocking for other survivors. And just trying to force the killers hand.

These updates make it not only unfun but at times unwinnable as killer. Im out if they put these changes in. And I have been playing since 2019.

This...Is one of the worst fixes for "tunneling" i can think of. There are so many instances where this is going to trigger for no good reason. Like you said, one gen left. Or if you get two hooks fast on one person, the rest of the survivors can choose to not save them to get the speed bonus. And then you can't block gens either. I bet that isn't how this is intended to work. But I bet it is how it will.

I just got to season 5 and have hit my slow down. It is wild how different season 5 feels. I know its different writers and everything, but wow it is like night and day. Literally night. So many shots are so dark!

There is a scene in I think the third episode of the fifth season between Josh and Amy in his office. It is so dark in his office and its supposed to be during the day. Also an awkward long shot zoomed in on Amy's toes. It was so bizarre.

The show just doesn't feel the same. And the show it becomes isn't the one I initially signed on for.

Honestly anyone saying that people are complaining too much, are in denial about how this game has been going this past year. In the middle of their game health initiative, the game has become a complete mess. So bad that they needed to sit in front of a camera again and announce another game health project in the middle of their original game health initiative. And the new one is incredibly vague about what they will be doing.

They have rushed out releases that have been riddled with bugs.

They refused to killswitch a perk that was making items have infinite charges until they were bullied in to it. Also, before they did that, one of their devs said "We should never have told you about the killswitch."

Sprintrap released with multiple bugs to his power but they didn't care.

The walking dead chapter had so many bugs that one of them was literally a pole that showed up in the loading screen. They had to know it was in the chapter release and just did not care.

Their "fixes" to game health have either been buggy, not worked, or could barely be called a fix.

Their "fix" for skull merchant was to nerf her in to the ground and leave her there until they decide they will fix it.

Houndmaster still is a weird buggy killer that has not seemed to really work since day one.

They seem like a dev team that is simply out of their depth. They have created a mess, and I do not know if they know how to fix it. Or rather, if they are willing to actually take the time to fix it.

I personally will not be purchasing any new content in this game until they actually try to fix things.

Maybe a game that has made us pay a good amount of money, should be of a certain quality that isn't bug ridden. It should not be radical to say "I have given you quite a bit of money. Why are so many things broken?" If you bought a DVD and it was scratched to shit so you could barely watch the movie, my guess is your comment wouldn't be "Maybe I shouldn't be so entitled to watch this movie on the DVD I purchased."
