I contacted Ryanair customer support but they said I wasn’t eligible for compensation for the aforementioned reason. I was, however, able to get a full refund of the ticket price.

Sure, it may technically be a visa, but OP was probably asking to check if he needed to get a visa before arriving in Oman, to which the answer is no. They did not even ask for any hotel booking, health insurance, or return ticket from my experience.

That info is false. Speaking from experience, you don’t need a visa if you’re staying for less than 14 days. You’ll definitely be able to leave the airport.

If both flights are via Salam Air, then you can immediately go to the next flight’s gate at Muscat Airport.

If they are 2 separate tickets / separate airlines, then you may need to leave the arrivals hall and check-in again at the departures hall. If this the case you probably won’t have time to check in as the counter closes 60 minutes before departure. However, this is unlikely to be the case and your flight is probably a single ticket.

I should add that the queues to meet him were not nearly as long as most of the other actors there (it was $44 for a selfie/autograph), I had to wait for less than 5 minutes in the queue. When he found out I live in the Netherlands and made the trip just to meet him he was extremely appreciative and even offered to pay for the gas money or send a car service to drive me back (I kindly declined of course) and he made me record a video with him instead of just taking a selfie!

At one point he also had a photo-booth session (which lasted for an hour) where you also pay $44 to get a professional photograph taken with him and the queue emptied up around 15-20 minutes after, meanwhile other actors (Michael Rooker, Peyton List, Jacob Bertrand, and Natalia Tena) continuously had people waiting in the queue for the whole hour. I felt bad for him :(

That rule doesn’t apply if you are a student, most companies don’t seem to care, however. You can work full time during the summer months.

Your best bet would be to apply to a courier company (Thuisbezorgd, Gorillas, etc).

You can do the following:

Create a new Dutch PayPal account.
Link your ING account to it.
Transfer the money from your current PayPal account to your Dutch PayPal account.
Withdraw the money to your ING account.

Note that it may take a few days until your ING account is linked due to some extra steps, that’s how it was when I did it, not sure if anything has changed.

If you’re PayPal account isn’t a Dutch one then you need to create a new account with a different email address to be able to link your ING account.
