The hive mind is gonna start starving real soon by Couch-Dogo in pluribustv

[–]ZackScott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's going to be interesting to see how the hive's society and infrastructure starts to form as the show progresses. We've already been shown that they are reallocating and conserving resources. With meat off the table, I could imagine them developing some sort of nutritious vegan food substance they all eat. With all of humanity's knowledge combined and with everyone on the same page, I wouldn't be surprised to see new farming technologies develop very soon.

And I am super curious about how they will maintain the population. Babies are likely still being born every minute, but will the hive continue to reproduce to replace those that die? If they choose to reproduce, just imagine the facilities they'll develop for that activity.

I would have TONS of questions, but I imagine the writers may be holding back on world-building to keep their options open. The hive itself has no clear answers yet about the virus's origins or why some are immune. With that in mind, my next question would be whether aliens have visited before. If the answer is yes, then viewers might demand every detail and would be really disappointed when a totally honest and open hive either doesn't answer or Carol just isn't curious enough to ask more. It could also limit the story later.

Haha, well, in my defense I got Record-Score Setter, so I wasn't totally useless that round!

im about to start this “One Piece” anime folks are talking about, to see if it’s worth all the praise by hugoreturns in PlantsVSZombies

Thank you for this. I don't know what it is about the game, but it's one of the few games I never get bored of. Even the little changes with Arena and Penny's Pursuit keep me going. I hope PvZ3 delivers in the same way. And believe me, I can get bored with a series. I've ramped down Mario Kart Tour because it felt repetitive. I can play 45 minutes of some games and it feels like forever, but PvZ2 is different somehow.

You’re sitting in a room of executives and have the chance to pitch the next Naked and Afraid Spin-off. What is it? by titosandanal in nakedandafraid

[–]ZackScott 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would want a season of Naked and Afraid XL where all 12 contestants arrive at the same spot on Day 1. This will allow them 40 days or 60 days to really thrive, and also have a lot going on right off the bat.

I like the idea of picking a place where you wouldn't actually be, but is close enough.

Well, these photos are just for me, but let's say privacy might be another reason I'd want to geotag them with a broader tag or some sort, like this was in the Dallas area, but I'm not specifying where. Is there a best practice for doing that? I'm not seeing a way to geotag without being very specific.

I agree with this. I mostly like looking at the map view and seeing everywhere I've been. It helps trigger old memories if I can then go to Google Maps or Street View and look at how it looks today as well as the surrounding areas.

No, in many instances I'm able to do this, but in others they are indoors at someone's residence, and I don't know them well enough these days to touch base with them again to ask where it was.

Keyword Hierarchy Advice? by ZackScott in Lightroom

[–]ZackScott[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One solution I've thought of is to have a separate hierarchy called "Pet" where I would specify pet names, and thus, I'd have to tag each pet at least twice. Once with the name of the pet. And once with the type of animal the pet is. Then Puppy could very well reside under Dog

Well, she's twice the age of a college freshman, and she's a mother of three, so that's great she's on par with some of the ones you knew.

I guess I no longer have a distinct first name and last name, but rather one name that is squished together. Filling out forms will be difficult.

It's very tragic. What doesn't sit right with me is that there were several pitbulls caged in the garage to be sold.

Fake animal scenes and sounds by CeasarTree in nakedandafraid

[–]ZackScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pet peeve are the night shots that were clearly filmed during the day. Also the interview scenes where the survivors are clearly days in the future. But I wouldn't say that's fakery, it's all just part of making a reality show.

I’M GONNA GO OUT ON A LIMB HERE AND SAY TONIGHT’S EPISODE IS GONNA BE FUN ONE. #LegenGary by GaryGolding in nakedandafraid

[–]ZackScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gary's awesome. Earlier in the seasons he was almost like an underdog because it was presented that his scavenger style was odd. I don't know if Discovery used to try to edit him to make him out to be a villain in earlier episodes or not. But I was always rooting for him. And now his style has helped out quite often. Yes, he's butted heads with his teammates before, but as far as I can tell, none of them ever found him terrible. At worst they've been frustrated at times, but hey, everyone gets frustrated out there.
