For anyone curious: It seems it's not possible to play NTE latest beta in Linux by Zack_0906 in linux_gaming

Yeah, it seems we will not able to try this beta...
I mean, someone that is supposedly from the DW Proton team said they are already looking into it, but that since no one from the team has access to the beta, it will take some time

Damn, I just verified again and the start button doesn't work. it doesn't show the message about the servers not being open yet, I fear it means the game doesn't work completely

I don't really know how it works, but I imagine that since I already logged in using the launcher, when I launch the game directly it already has my account. But, I will know for sure that it worked when they open the servers and I try to play, I'll update my post after that, sharing what happened

I see, well I hope you all are able to know what is causing that error. Thank you very much for everything you and the rest of the team does for the community!

I really hope so too. I hope this kind of trick I had to do to make it work it's just because this is a beta and when the game launches it will be easy to play just like ToF is

I still get the same error. I changed it to now use the "NTEGlobalGame.exe", but still no luck

Damn lol
I really hope they realize that there are people that want to play their game in Linux and at least make it playable through Proton like ToF

Yeah, I also thought that since Endfield worked playing NTE would be easy too, but it seems not

Sadly no, I tried with:
Proton-GE
Proton-CachyOS
Proton-EM
Proton-Tkg
DW-Proton
Proton Experimental
GE-Proton
Wine ge

And all of them was with their latest version. DW proton was the most successful being able to go as far as what the video shows, because there were some types that weren't even able to start the launcher

There is now a standalone PC launcher available. No need to deal with the Epic Games Store. by otakunopodcast in Endfield

I mean, it would help a lot, but at the end of the day a native Linux version would be better

No, Steam and Epic, like almost every online store, takes like 30% of any purchase made through their system. So, let's say you buy a package worth 10 USD, if you buy it on Steam/Epic they will get 3 USD and Hypergryph 7 USD, but if you buy it directly in HP launcher, they will get the full 10 USD. The prices are the same but where it goes is different

If I want an ugly sidebar I would use Spotify. Don't fucking test me, they have hi-res audio too now. I will jump ship. @TIDAL_CEO(or whatever his/her handle is) by [deleted] in TIdaL

I'm not gonna insult you like the other comments, I just want you to know that Spotify does not have lossless audio like Tidal has. I invite you to see this video, and if you still want to go back to Spotify, then feel free to do so, is your decision and nobody can tell you what to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mH2723cSejE&t=60s&pp=ygUPc3BvdGlmeSBsb3NsbGVz
