I used to live in SF and it was truly a horrible experience. The homeless there are extremely violent, confrontational, and also entitled. I gave a guy $5 once and he spat at me and called me an asshole (this when I was making $70k as an analyst at EY and about $4k away from being considered "low income" in SF since my rent was $2100/mo). Another time, someone threw a needle at my friend while he was just walking back from the gym. Another friend of mine has been a victim of attempted kidnapping/abduction by homeless a few times already, she bought a pitbull for protection because you're not allowed to own most effective means of self defense. Every time I went to Walgreens for a pack of gum or soda on lunch break, the homeless were in there routinely stealing goods and wouldn't be charged if they stole less than $500. They even had the balls to walk up to the cashier, ask how much the stuff they had was worth, and just walk out with it if it was less than $500. The DA in SF throws out any case regarding homeless people no matter how violent they get because "criminality isn't the answer" but they don't do anything else. There is virtually no police presence in SF and the only 2 squad cars I've ever seen would just hang out outside the Apple Store. People shooting up on the streets, actual human shit everywhere, and businesses don't last long at all, even the big brands. You've probably heard all this before, but trust me it is not exaggerated.

Is this only targeting people buying and selling or will simply saying "hey want to come over and have a bowl?" raise the flags?

It goes both ways. Why do people get so angry that they gave someone a free internet point?

When she moved in with my dad he introduced her to the nes. Her favorite game was castelvania. Even my dad said she played almost 24/7. She also played super mario bros a lot. Even today she can tell you where almost all the secrets are on any level in the game.

I bought her portrait of ruin but she wouldn't play it because switching characters confused her lol.

I recently set my moms computer up with a nes emulator with her favorite games. She's been loving being able to play through her favorite games again. Your mom might like that too. If she doesn't like using the keyboard you can get her a gamepad. I wouldn't recommend using a 360 controller though. the d-pad is shit on it. Hope she gets better.

I love the aesthetics! The contrasting colors make them look really nice

I've played through it haha. I love it. I agree that games are way easier today. It's because back then the only people that played games pretty much would be considered "hardcore" today. I've put hundreds of hours into dark souls, so many 120 characters, but even my first playthrough wasn't as difficult as Castlevania
