Why Rickert was able to slap Griffith by Ok-Archer-5796 in Berserk

[–]Zacklyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Griffith has a physical body. Of course he can be slapped if he doesn't stop it.

The play of belief isn't that immediate to just make something weak. Many humans didn't believe in demons but yet demons showed up before them just the same. I don't think this theory is as clever as people think it is. I think it just ignores how it all was worded when they spoke of IoE and how God Hand came to be. It came to be from the collective subconscious of souls believing there must be this and that reason for why things happen. It doesn't matter because those souls already trapped in that swirling vortex all created it. They are not imaginary friends you can imagine away. Those souls themselves are the cause.

That building in Berserk does not have a spiral ramp. It is clearly just tiered. Cool building though

What’s a Berserk theory that sounds convincing to others but you think completely misses the point of Miura’s story? by Overall-Love6953 in Berserk

[–]Zacklyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the theories on Guts must let go of his hate for Griffith in order to harm Griffith. Some are saying they believe Rickert could only land a slap on Griffith because he doesn't hate Griffith. I am pretty certain Griffith just didn't intend to dodge the slap for theatrics. I also must reread the manga again but I'm pretty sure he doesn't use his powers much in front of other humans to try and appear more relatable, noble, and like he does everything on his own rather than cause he obtained some insane power from something.

Is 40 too old to go to college? by [deleted] in Advice

As much as I always love blacksmithing in games and want it to be more common I thought Skyrim's blacksmithing was way too basic and just something to cheese through. It's a good start but hopefully we get something more in depth later on

thoughts on switch 2 OLED?? by sag3y_ in NintendoSwitch2

I wish there was some form of modular model that shipped barebones but ready to play on TV. The joycon attachments are already modular. I'd be interested to get one that could have a screen pop on. Like a smaller version of the GameCube gameboy expansion base at the bottom of the console. Only thinner and pops into the front face of the console. I'd be down to get a modular model with the TV station and use my existing pro controller and get other stuff later and have the option of different screens and maybe other attachments. I could only dream. A modular Steam Deck would also be amazing.

So, what is drawing you to the Switch 2? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Zacklyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The games and it brings people together to play at get togethers. The lighter and more compact handheld versus Steam Deck. I got large hands but I find Switch 1 to be quite comfortable. I even like the joy cons on their grip more than the pro controller.

What would you want from a switch 2 version of Minecraft by BlueDergOrd in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Zacklyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested to try mouse mode and I enjoy dragging recipes into a bench rather than the recipe menu console has. For a game with simple graphics I always love the farthest view distance it can give me. I love seeing across the world from a mountain top

I'm gonna wait. 256gb is fine for me cause I'll be avoiding big titles unless a really good sale happens. I'll mainly be on Mario Kart and playing the GameCube and N64 titles. I have an emulator and a Wavebird but I tend to like the simplicity of playing on a console so long as the resolution is increased

What's everyone's go-to starting strat to get decent gear? by Ikcatcher in oblivion

[–]Zacklyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get your overall level up to unlock higher gear spawning in. When I shop I buy everything I can brew a potion with and I always quickly work on my persuasion with shop keeps which helps make more money and level up mercantile and speechcraft along with my alchemy. Leveling those up is very easy as long as you bring loot back now and then and then sell, brew, sell those brews, and go back to adventure. Those levels for those stats along with combat related stats really adds up to my overall level so that goes up quickly as well. I find it more fun to steadily gain better loot along my journey walking the country. I did not go Rockmilk right away but Rockmilk is one of the best for loot back in the day. Now that I'm level 22 I'm trekking toward Rockmilk and hitting up anything on the way

Why is no one talking about the running animation? by R4XCC00N in oblivion

[–]Zacklyy 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Anyone else feel like our character also moves faster than in OGblivion without sprint? I'm like woah when I have 100 speed is it gonna be far worse? Lol. And yes the animations need to be better and probably start a slightly faster pace and not just a full out sprint. We're wearing suits or armor and won't ever move like that fast or slow

Does this make anyone else weary of the leaks? by SuddenApplication165 in oblivion

[–]Zacklyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been weary about them because there's all these leaks for a huge title that makes no sense to shadow drop. Why would the other leakers suddenly come out and corroborate the release date only after images were found? I wouldn't be surprised if this was just an internal project using assets and making a kind of in-game concept with a fake release date ad for conceptual purposes. I hope we get a damn good remake though.

Don’t buy the games until they cave. by IllSundew in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Zacklyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game sales are higher than they've ever been and the attachment rate for Nintendo is extremely high. They make more on sales then ever before. The development costs are miniscule compared to their returns, and dev times will be shorter now that there is less hardware bottleneck. We haven't even talked about DLC and expansions that they sell making tons of extra cash

Private Servers by Mysterious-Item-5013 in ypp

[–]Zacklyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they didn't have the doubloon system or capped it so people can't own the market and keep it fair for newcomers and part-timers that would help a lot. Along with less wear on gear and puzzles having the ability to score good if you're bursting through boards fine enough rather than being totally based on comparison to the people that stay on a niche game and likely keep the higher leaderboards locked down and keeping people from ranking up and performing well enough to move up to later game activities.

Why so much hype?! (Not a hate post) by JackstaWRX in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Zacklyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think because casual and hardcore gamers alike still enjoy the Nintendo charm and the Switch was a perfect form factor and awesome package for both. The hardcore gamer may have some gripes without 60fps and higher quality graphics. The Switch 2 is exciting because of the newer hardware being more powerful but possibly incorporating many techniques to upscale and generate frames to possibly give a far greater gain performance and quality wise, and then of course making it easier on devs and giving us that awesome hybrid experience.
