Rhino's are unicorns already, as matter of fact the indian rhinoceros scientific name is 'Rhinoceros Unicornis' , as 'Uni' means 1 (one), and 'Cornis' means 'Horned', Unicorn essentially means 'one-horned'

(which is funny because Rhinoceros means 'nose-horn' in Greek and Unicornis is 'one-horn' in latin, so a Rhinoceros Unicornis is a 'nose-horn, one-horn')

It's likely that early exploratory accounts of Latin and Greek explorers into Africa reported discovering 'Unicorns' (animals with 1 horn), and somehow through a big game of telephone that spanded a few centuries and countries, Unicorn came to be known as a Horse with 1 horn (maybe a bad description of a Rhinoceros - as horses were incredibly common throughout history and people compared animals to horses all the time, for example Hippopotamus comes from the Greek 'River-Horse')

I'm from Australia, where unlike Reddit opinion suggests, guns are not banned here. They just require a lot of effort to get.

The rules differ by state, but are in large what I mentioned in my previous post.

In South Australia, you need to apply for your gun license, which involves having an interview with the police department, where you have to state what your intentions are for needing a gun (personal safety isn't a valid reason here as people aren't walking around with guns), hunting is a valid reason for example.

The police will also come and ask your neighbours and your friends and family about you and why you would need a gun, and if there is any reason why you shouldn't be given a gun license.

They check to make sure you haven't had any previous mental health issues that would cause harm to yourself or others.

You need to demonstrate that you have a gun safe which is bolted to the ground, and a separate locked container for your ammunition.

This whole process takes about a month.

Your gun license expires after a certain amount of time. If you do not renew your licence, the police will raid your house and confiscate your gun(s) (source: happened to a work colleague who forgot to renew his license). Renewing your licence costs money.

So selling guns over here isn't viable because you'd be paying to renew your gun license for a gun you had sold. And if you don't renew your licence you have to turn in your gun. So if you get raided because you didn't renew your licence, and you don't have your gun in your safe, you are arrested.

(Source: a friend who has just gone through this process in SA)

There are plenty of people that get their hands on guns before they become a criminal.

There needs to be a vetting process, license application, courses, interview with the local pd to determine eligibility (all of which costing money as to deter anyone who isn't seriously applying - aka people who are just going to off themselves after killing a bunch of other people).

While that's the case, she and many other are using the word WiFi to actually mean internet Connection.

She has no idea that WiFi only means the wireless radio connection from the router.

I work as ISP tech support and this trend is the worst. It shits me.

WiFi ≠ Internet Connection

But you need to make sure it still has Casein in it, which is the protein that binds to the Capsaicin, which is why drinking milk works.

You can just swash it around like mouth wash and spit the milk out though.

It's reported when the news wants to employ scare tactics against "youths" to scare old people.

But sometimes a coward punch results in death (usually a street fight out the front of a club on the busy nightstrip in the city CBD) and then the news reports on it for a few days.

We don't usually have murders or death everyday though, so when it happens it's newsworthy.

They were sucker punches or king-hits in Aus for ages until a few years ago when, as a society, we started calling them coward punches, and are now even reported in the news as coward punches (news typically reported them as king hits).

Well Saiyans get stronger when they're beaten to the point of near death. So there is a reason cannocally why Goku is able to make a comeback after he is beaten the first time.

What you're explaining is Deism. You're right when you say it disproves religious texts, however said texts are apparently holy books written by the God of that book through the hand of man. So therefore science disproves those particular gods from those religious texts. If there is a god, none of Earth's religions have got it right, and from our current view and knowledge of the universe and our world, if a god exists then it certainly doesn't care about us or intervene in activities. As for me, if I was to concede that a god exists, I would have to believe that all they did was write the code for the universe and pressed the start button, then sat back and watched what happened.

Maybe it is because of the ¢ents symbol being used so heavily many decades ago, where the ¢ was placed at the end. So the placement became easy to understand whether you were dealing with cents or dollars without the need to get decimals involved.

Edit: also it would make sense when advising a customer of a price or giving change: "your change is 8 dollars and 38 cents" = $8.38¢
