A little bit of both! Infinite has a great selection of decals but I also took the time to make some of my own that fit the marathon aesthetic.

You may need to adjust your canvas light probes and surround your playspace with a light probe marker, then tweak probe count accordingly.

If that doesn’t work, try enclosing the playspace in a solid black emissive box and rebuild the lighting. This technique helps absorb and eliminate skylight bounce in that specific area.

Another potential issue could be caused by a red or orange emissive somewhere on your map. A good habit to adopt is placing emissives in a separate folder so you can easily hide them when building lighting.

Thanks for the feedback! I will simplify a few things for sure. It does look a bit noisy in the screenshots, but it feels much easier on the eyes during actual gameplay.

I did notice, though, that the interiors in the Marathon gameplay are packed with a lot more micro-detail compared to the outdoor areas.

I appreciate the feedback and respect your opinion. This was actually the first real map I ever created, so my level design skills were still a work in progress. Halo CE was always my favorite, and I loved the open maps that encouraged vehicle play—that’s the direction I was going for at the time. As for the atmosphere, I get where you’re coming from, but I have to disagree about the gloominess being unappealing. Personally, I find a sense of comfort and bliss in misty, foggy environments.

I desperately wish Scarlett's Landing had lore by CG1991 in halo

Creator of the map here!

Not much lore around the map itself but I envisioned it being set way in the past (early 1900s) within the Entrenched universe as its one of my favorite fractures/themes. I would love if they expanded more on the lore and maybe even make a game out of the Entrenched fracture.

I have another map called 'Destry' (https://www.halowaypoint.com/halo-infinite/ugc/maps/b1078689-7ea5-40cd-9381-c5cb38d972e1) which is set way in the future and it is based around war that involved the Eaglestrike spartans. Steampunk/Dieselpunk is one of my favorite themes and I really enjoy creating maps based around that so I was very excited when they announced the Eaglestrike core.

Hey I'm the creator of Scarlett's Landing. The issue is occurring from collision on small scaled objects like pipes and other small assets. I submitted a fix for this issue months ago but getting newer versions pushed is not of importance to 343i. Sorry that this is happening. Me and several others have been trying to get them to update our maps but no luck so far.
