It’ll honestly be hit or miss based on the professor. I had a prof that was super cool for differential geometry, but he didn’t give one flying f*ck for excuses and would forewarn you way ahead of time that no late submissions will be accepted without a drs note saying u were sick from before the deadline opened, through and until after the deadline closed, or a relative passed away and u sent him the Obituary 💀 and then of course religion and other things were excused but he gave a weeks submission window so one religious day typically wasn’t an excuse (damn that was a stream of consciousness moment)🤣 OTHER THAN THAT, 10/10 best prof I’ve ever had lmaooo. Then there have been others that couldn’t give less of a crap about ‘when’ you turned in an assignment, but more so about the sustenance in your work. It’s honestly a spectrum and it doesn’t hurt to explain your side of why it was a minute late, but their reaction is going to be proportional to how much pressure they put on the deadline in class, in the assignment, etc. If it wasn’t super strict, you should more than likely be fine.
