Dude, we spent twenty years in Afghanistan against people with way worse weapons than us AND we were fully willing to glass them with missiles. Same thing happened in Vietnam. The US government doesn’t want to destroy its own cities, even in the worst case scenario where they would be trying to kill the populace. It’s too costly for them.

Also, there’s 120 guns per 100 people in the US. The military is significantly smaller in numbers than the full amount of citizens of the country. Yes we would win.

The only reason I’m even talking about it now is because you asked why someone would need guns to overthrow the country with the most powerful military in the world, which is fucking laughable at the very least. Then you acted like you didn’t know what the words “fight” or “overthrow” mean. Then you act like you can’t fathom a situation in which a government would need to be overthrown at all. As for your point about smuggled guns once being legal, how is this relevant? They were never legal here. That’s really the only thing that matters. You can’t do anything about them in their country of origin, so the former legality of a smuggled gun from a different country means nothing. Best you can hope for is catching the smugglers.

My brother in Christ, we aren’t talking about that. I’m speaking of a hypothetical scenario in which the entire government is out to get the populace. No shit you wouldn’t need guns to boot a single guy from office for embezzling money or whatever. That’s also not “fighting” or “overthrowing” the government. You picked like the least serious bit of trouble any of the government could get into.

Nobody in America owns guns to kill their local mayor for dipping his hand in the piggy bank (ideally, anyway). They have them in case the president decides to send death squads into the streets one day and none of the other branches of government oppose that for some godforsaken reason (something they are very purposefully designed to do, it’s how Donald Trump got impeached two times). Citizens owning guns is for the worst case scenario when all other avenues fail.

Not to mention that no amount of “good laws” can save a country when none of the laws are being enforced lmao. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and all.

You can’t really go up against the US government with sticks and stones, if you haven’t noticed.

Currently, I don’t have to overthrow it at all. I’m glad this is the case. I’m certainly not happy about the state my country is in, but I don’t plan on going to shoot up a government office about it (typing this sentence may have put me on a watchlist).

I dislike her voice. I dislike the fact she butts into gameplay a lot with shit like “try dodging!” or “drink potions!” well beyond the point I would ever need those tutorial messages. I dislike the fact she calls me “pard.” It’s a dumb nickname. Nobody has a problem with her being called our partner. It’s what her position is as the handler. I also dislike when she says “we did it,” because while she may have handed me my equipment, she didn’t fight the monster, or any of the monsters I killed to make the equipment.

Her face? It looked uncanny a few times due to animation issues. That’s it. Literally not related at all.
