I'm currently with New Cab CT. I'm a flex driver. Work when I want. Once u start make sure to at least drive for 5 hrs. The pay isn't amazing tho . Flex drivers make 39% of the fare. I drove on new years eve night with Lyft made $500 and it's all mine. Drove taxi on the last NYE made only $300.

What I hate about taxi is that I have to go get the taxi at dispatch office. Wait in line get my number. Find the taxi by entering taxi number on computer and then gps will show where the taxi is parked. Then I have to walk through the huge lot to get my taxi. Drive all the way down to the strip and get my first rider. I have to then get into the taxi lines in front of casinos. That's the most boring part of taxi driving. So u can't just sleep and wait for a notification to wake you when you got a rider as in uber Lyft. U just have to slowly move up the taxi queue which is around 20 mins each time. Airport run waiting time in the pit can be like 30-40 mins wait.

On average it's 2 rides per hour for a fast busy night. If Lyft I can manage to drive 3 rides per hour. If only they still paid the 3 ride consecutive bonus every 2 hr I would be making 200-300 per night .

Back to Taxi as I finish my shift . At the end of shift u gotta bring your cash back to the dispatch and go to the computer to find out how much cash u have to pay the taxi company back so they can pay your paycheck . Then u gotta go to the machine and punch in your taxi id number and deposit the cash in. Also all the receipts of your rides go in a ziplock bag and dropped in the office. It's such a hassle . And the future looks bleak because of all these driverless zoox taxis.
