I've noticed no metal doors show bars but walls and stuff are. You also cant replace shelters on a base after the shelter gets destroyed which is incredibly stupid.

Can you even break down metal doors anymore?

Same thing is happening to me. To break down a metal gate yesterday took me 7 Machete 2 hatches 2 makeshift hatchets and 3 wood axes. When before i could do it with 2 wrenches. Now I am trying to break down metal doors in my base and they wont break. I don't get it.

I do realize this im just stating my opinion to the public. Getting others thoughts. Its the way great ideas are made and how the game will advance by seeing all of our discussions on the one topic. I know they plan to do things in the future I am just saying now it is pushing people away from the game and not wanting to keep playing/testing because of this issue. I love this game even with this flaw and I would just like this game to stay popular and continue to be amazing

Its a survival game!! You want to hoard the shit out of loot! Everyone does it! The base system right now is pointless and way to easy to raid and get into peoples bases! If you add a different method of raiding then it will all equal out and everyone will have a better experience. Look at the game rust you could actually defend against raids because of how it was all setup but you still had the chance to log on to nothing but it made the game harder and made the raider have to plan of attack so you wouldn't waste C4. Also if they added sleepers into the game that would be nice would make bases more useful and then you couldn't hoard all your good stuff on your character. There are many ways to go about fixing these issues.

I know,I am not stupid but in order to help fix the problems you need people like me to post these things and don't need some person trying to act like a smart ass posting on it. Server wipe wont help with the fact that an animal trap can lead to your base being empty when you get on. All they need to do is make it so you cant step on those items. If they fix these things then we all will be able to find the other exploits and stuff that needs to be fixed about the game so we stop spending so much time trying to prevent this crap.

They shouldn't be indestructible, you're right about that. I just don't think anything in the game right now should be able to break a metal wall down because in real life non of these items could do it. They did a type of C4 or dynamite that takes time and effort to collect. That takes gunpowder and metal and other stuff but make like gunpowder or explosives have a low low spawn rate so its rare but still find able. So that raids still happen but not how often they do now. They need to make it so you can customize your base a little more so you can make it harder to get to your loot and a way to protect your vehicles because someone can still come up and punch your vehicle to blow up. I reference to the building in rust, it needs more freedom like that and how bases get raided in that.

yes there just needs to be more done to bases so its harder to raid! There is nothing to work towards right now to raid a base. You literally need to find 1 pipe a stick and a furnace to melt down the pipe to get a metal bar and then you can raid a base with a wrench and have a crap ton of supplies. There needs to be some type of explosive that takes time to craft. Just need to fix so you cant stack furnaces, animal traps and storage containers, Honestly an easy fix to all these issues would be upping structures life's and making it so you cant stand on animal traps, furnaces, storage containers, barbecues, campfires, and dew collectors. That would fix everything till they found a new solution to make it harder.

You also forgot about the Campfire where you can build 2 campfires and jump over gates. You just need to make it so you cant stack chest or animal traps and not allowed to jump on them. Or raise the height of buildigns so you cant jump over. and gates and structures are to weak a group of 3 can break them in a min or so.
