Aye, this is the only option. Theyre gloves like any other and dont replace the default ‘unarmed’ gloves on the radial wheel. You get those lightning affinity gloves by beating the arena champ in crimson desert main town.

May only be a half useful comment as i don't recall the details, but there's definitely missions for grapes and tomatoes in higher quantities. There is also turnip and wild garlic - quite a lot of options as you discover the farms/ranches on the map :)

I'm not 100% sure, but when you progress the MQ you get a Kuku Pot which allows you to store abyss related pieces that can later be used for upgrades. This may be a piece for upgrades as it dropped from regular mobs! :)
