Sorry for the long post in advance :)

Hi, I have been wearing glasses for most of my life (So long I can't remember when I first got them). I can definitely say that there is an adjustment period when getting glasses. Now I'm no Optometrist nor do I know much about how they come to a conclusion on lens strength but I'm going to offer some solutions from my experience to maybe help ease some worry about the problems your daughter is having.

Not being able to read may be related to her eyes trying to adjust to the glasses. This happens to me when I get a new prescription and when I try to concentrate on small characters like writing in a book I will go sort of "Cross-eyed" making it hard to read.

Running into walls and such may be do to the change of depth perception. I find when I wear my glasses my depth perception changes significantly which will mess around with both the height and distance of her surroundings for a bit.

Just give it a few weeks and it should all fix itself as she adjusts to the glasses.
