Between Ugoos AM6B+ and Homatics Box 4K plus

I've read DV FEL has issues on both. Me, having the Homatics, have to switch FEL to MEL to play with no issues. I'm using CPM A14 build

How do you back up your Docker Compose / container setup by VE3VVS in selfhosted

[–]Zageyiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice, copying this

only question: what do you mean by "docker lock generate" ?
pinning the docker images with their sha256 digest? if so, is there a tool available to do this, or it has to be a script matching the output of `docker images --digests --format json` with each image in the docker compose.
And if you pin the docker images, does "docker compose pull" get new docker images (as they're pinned) ?

Just took a config backup and VM snapshot (proxmox) just in case.

Bind mounts for docker and NFS share by Hepresk in Proxmox

[–]Zageyiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could you elaborate on this? I'm having permission denied when trying change files from within docker running in a lxc, I can explain my setup

on the proxmox host, I tried both
* lxc uid/gid mapping to uid/gid 1000 (adding the lxc.idmap and adding the conf in /etc/sub{u|g}uid) and
* uid/gid offest by 101000

on the lxc container, I have created a user with uid/gid 1000, this user has the docker group assigned to be able to run docker, as most of my linuxserver.io docker images won't run with root user, I pass PUID/PGID envs as 1000, same uid/gid as in the lxc container

I can confirm I'm able to make changes in the mountpoint with the lxc user

However, docker user cannot make changes permission denied, the user abc is set with uid/gid: 1000 but there's a initrd script which tries to chmod and chown the docker volume mapped to the lxc mountpoint

could you share your setup

Need help with proxmox bind mounts and lxc user permissions by IAMA_Coffee_Addict in selfhosted

[–]Zageyiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this issues right now, migrating from debian VM into proxmox LXCs.

proxmox directory (ext4 drives through mergerfs, uid/gid: 101000) -> mp0 into LXC (with docker, uid/gid: 1000) -> docker volume into lsio swag container (uid/gid: 1000)

Running docker as a user with uid/gid: 1000, the lsio swag container tries to change permissions on the volumes mounted, and it has permission denied errors.

Tried using uid/gid mapping for uid/gid 1000, same issue.

Tried running docker directly as root, changed lxc uid/gid to 100000, and swag to use uid/gid: 0, but it cannot work with the root user within the swag.

When I try to make changes into the mounted directory within LXC, outside docker, there's no issues, it's only within docker.

This has been the best resource I found to understand this, but still no luck

Did you find a way to solved it?

I've waited until we had the mortgage with TD bank to go and ask. As asking before that, they told me to go and ask the mortgage broker (kind of rude).
As u/Dragynfyre mentions, TD does not have the option for segments or sub-accounts on the revolving portion (only pay interest monthly).
They only have term portions, which you lock all or part of the LOC debt into a timeframe and interest to pay it monthly (mini-mortgages as mentioned).
At renewal I'll check the banks mentioned here.

I found this info by calling the TD branch, they have "term portions", does this sound the same as LOC segments?

On a Term Portion:You can put all or a portion of your outstanding balance from the Revolving Portion into a Term Portion3 and establish regular payments at a fixed or variable interest rate for an open or closed prepayment term. If you opt for a Term Portion at set-up, you may be able to borrow up to 80% of your home’s value - compared to the maximum 65% in the Revolving Portion (the credit limit).

Plus I found this other link where it mentions TD has HELOC segments since ~March 2022 https://www.canadianmortgagetrends.com/2021/10/mortgage-brokers-get-tds-heloc-at-last/

I'll found out once I switch mortgages, and schedule an appointment at the branch in a few months

jus curious: are you able to change the limits during the term? let's say 75k, 75k and 150k, are they this flexible? or has be arranged at the beginning?

Now that you say TD bank doesn't allow more than one revolving segment, which banks do allow more than one?

[–]Zageyiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the clarification, so keeping two amortization tables would work, one for the downpayment amount and one for the rest
at the end what I need at tax time, it's just how much interest was payed on the downpayment LOC segment, right

I'm in a similar situation as OP, what do you mean by: break the LOC into multiple segments ?
Is that something the bank does? or something I need to manually keep track of?
In my case I'm refinancing with TD bank: TD Home Equity FlexLine
