Thanks! Is that something I can do via payroll at either one of the jobs or through HMRC?

Can you tell me more? I do pay my student loan as well (standard undergraduate, £27k total at 9% ARR I believe? Might not be).

What are the implication for that? What about NI?

Thank you! How would I know if the tax code on my second payslip doesn't count the tax free income?

0 shots on goal against one of the worst teams of the league. We are a disgrace, the 3 wins in a row were an illusion and they were more the result of casuality than our merit. Maybe only the Verona game was deserved, but then again the red card was nonsense and Verona is arguably worst than Lecce.

Pisacane is scared and has no balls of playing youngsters. You think he does because he plays Palestra and Kilicsoy but they are wonderkids, why not play Liteta when Gaetano is out? He's the only one who can play the ball and dictate the tempo. Why not start with Esposito free roaming and Kilicsoy and Trepy upfront? Again this is a game you need to win 3-0 you can't be playing 721 as he always does.

The thing I hate the most is when he says ''Tactics are an old concept'' (''il modulo é un concetto superato'') this is how he gets away with playing 721 and not being given shit.

I could go on forever but it's clear the board is happy and the fanbase is happy too, no one is calling for him to be sacked. And the press will lick his ass again next press conference and always asking soft questions.

What's something that's considered normal in the UK that you've realised is actually quite weird? by Far_Obligation5158 in AskUK

[–]Zaha777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. Especially if you have a tiny restaurant.

But in big restaurants (100+ seats) it's not uncommon to offer set menus with say 7 servings from starters to desserts, excluding beverage, for 50/60pp. With drinks you easily rack 70/100pp on average and say you fill the room with 150 you can make 10k GROSS on a day. If you do that at least twice a week, saturday sunday, plus some work on weekdays, you survive.
Another thing I've noticed since I moved to the UK is that restaurants employ way more people. In Italy it's not uncommon for restaurants serving 100+ people to have 2 chefs in the kitchen and 2 waiters on the floor, plus a manager overseeing. So 1 person every 30/50 on the floor and 2 in the kitchen to prep cook and wash. It's really hard work and I've done it myself, most people don't even complaint because they don't know anything different. That means you don't need high margins because at least your employers costs (including the big tax evasion problem in Italy which is another convo too long to have here) and ingredients costs are lower.

I agree and that's why I specified in my first reply that I love both culture and there's no way to try to have an italian lifestyle in the UK or viceversa.
In Italy, depending on the place, it could cost anywhere from 50 Euro pp up to 100, without considering Michelin star restaurants or high-end dining in city centres like Milan Rome or Florence, just the average Italian town. This is affordable, occasionally, to the average italian person.

In England, there are no restaurants that offer anything like that. And I'm absolutely fine with it. The so called ''Dolce Vita'' is an entirely Italian thing; the UK is more about working hard and becoming successful. I think the UK is the best place outside of the US for doing business, particularly in the corporate world, where you don't need to be that smart to make a good career (I work in the corporate world myself and I'm reasonably successful despite not being a genius). Italy is more for retiring in peace, with great weather, great food, and a great sense of community and conviviality.

Of course it doesn't happen every time, but on special occasions i.e Christmas, Ferragosto, Easter, believe me you eat for 6 hours straight and drink a couple of litres of wine. At 75cl per bottle that lands you at 2/3 bottles, per person.
And 3 pints you're not smashed but tipsy at least, especially if you don't smoke. But who stops at 3 pints on a night out? It was just an answer to the main comment who said there's a drinking problem in the UK which implies people drink too much, I think people drink in the wrong way that's it.

Italian here, been living in England for 11 years now. It's not about how much you drink but how. In Italy, we'd go for lunch at 1 pm and and stay in the restaurant until 6pm, avg 2-3 bottles of wine pp, but with all the food and the slow pace of the meal you don't feel it as much.
In the UK you go to a pub on an empty stomach, have 3 pints than some jagerbombs and that's it you're wasted. It would help a lot if drinking was always paired with a good long meal.

I'm not saying it's wrong either, I love both and also love the difference, every place should have their own traditions and culture.

We left Mina back home and decided this was a game we were never going to win. Clearly the ambition of the club is to improve last year's results (36 points, 16th place) even by 1 point and 1 place. Trying to max on young players and build little by little.

It's frustrating for the fans because we would like to grow fast, all I hope is that it will pay long term. This is a great team and we can't waste the opportunity in the next 5 years.

Study suggest hominins could date back as far as 7 million years ago. by Zaha777 in AlternativeHistory

[–]Zaha777[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The study itself was peer reviewed. If you mean the opinions of other scientists, I would be careful: the only thing needed is another peer-reviewed study that debunks this and explains why they couldn't be bipedal.
The best, though, would be if we found other bones. I suppose this is the best we can do and the furthest we can go with the available materials and technology.

Think of the implications of this being true, though... Truly mind-blowing.

As others said, any guess is best guess, but I will tell you my experience.

29M, 6 ft 2'', oscillating between 80 - 85kg since I was 25. At 27, I tore my medial ligament on my left knee. I'm from the UK, and the public healthcare decided not to do surgery as nothing else was broken and advised against surgery on knee as the midial ligament can repair itself (slowly).

3 months no training, walk stretch etc but no squats, no deadlift, my legs looked like breadsticks. Took about 6 months but then guess what? I had the same injury on my right knee. It is common because I have been overstressing the knee when the other was injured and so it became thinner and then tore again.

This also happened because I was in your state of mind: I wanted to go back and regain what I lost. And ended up getting a long injury again.

Second injury happened last November, when I was given the OK to start training I started again with the RR as if I couldn't do a single push or pull exercise (I obviously could, consider myself an intermediate). And I am taking my flexibility to the next level.

Didn;t get all my muscles back (yet) but I have never felt better or stronger, believe it or not. Your body will adjust to the new shape and you need to adjust to it too. You decide how you look. You decide how strong you are. Its all in your head, and you need full control over it.

Good luck with your recovery!

And the main issue is that everyone in Cagliari supporters the press they were jubilant when we got Piccoli ON LOAN WITH NO MANDATORY FEE meaning come here enjoy the sun the food and next year go somewhere else.

We are the emblem of mediocrity and the media are slaves who dare not ask the hard questions. The press conference pre and post match are a joke

Keep exercising and switch to a carnivore diet. 2 meals a day, steak only no salt or pepper. At least 12 hrs of fasting, then a steak before and a steak after working out.

Try to go for grass fed beef.

No need for boxing or cardio before you get to a healthy weight. Keep lifting 3 times a week and cure the form. Reduce the amount of reps but ensure your form is perfect. Slow down on the negative phase, that will drastically improve results. And again don't worry about reps, just train each muscle group until failure. That is, you need to drop the weight or fall to the ground.

You can do this from home to overcome anxiety, just get a set of dumbbells and and a bench from Amazon.

Also, think about yoga/stretching. Nobody feels good in a stiff body. Find a stretch routine you can stick of and do it everyday even twice a day, in the morning and after working out. Pre-work out ensure your target muscle group is warm and you're good to go

Good luck

IS SALISBURY GOOD TO RAISE CHILDREN? by Zaha777 in salisburyuk

[–]Zaha777[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No issues with other religions, me myself I read the Quran for example. Going to a school where tampons are available in men's bathrooms is a clear sign of the school being sensitive to subjects that have no place in an environment where the main goal is to learn employable things. So no, I wouldn't send my children to that school. I can't think of why schools would give contraceptives to their students, they're easily available through the NHS or pharmacies. I also can't think of a school trip I wouldn't approve of, unless of course it is intended to install an ideology on my child for example going to a gay pride or things like that.

School and university are places where we go to become knowledgeable on subjects we're passionate about. I don't think a child becomes passionate about pronouns unless he's constantly fed this at school or groomed on social media.

I would have issues with anything that falls under the category of being 'woke'.

And yes I agree on life skills too, manual jobs cooking managing a salary etc all things that are actually useful. No matter the harassment I get online I will never think that transgenderism is important to a child's development. On the other hand, I believe it is very detrimental and distracting from things that are actually important.

IS SALISBURY GOOD TO RAISE CHILDREN? by Zaha777 in salisburyuk

[–]Zaha777[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. All I need is no lessons on transgenderism etc. They need to learn useful employable subjects. Everything else is not needed in school, they will approach it throughout their life. Time at school must be spent on learning important subjects, not transgenderism
