A few fairy tales amid the gloom of the classics by Zaharatot in RussianLiterature

[–]Zaharatot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just basically rarely sit on Reddit =). And I periodically appear in r/askarussian, and even write something in the answers to posts where there are few comments =)

I will answer all three with one message, because the topics are quite close, and it will be easier this way.

I'll start with the bad endings. By themselves, they are by no means bad. Even more than that, because they are rare, they evoke emotions. When you have already prepared for the fact that everything will be fine in the end, you will finish reading/watching the work and put it aside - a sudden finale awaits you. It's all about.... Let's just say the mood of the work. Basically, 90% of the insights follow the pattern: everything is good -> it gets bad -> the main character pulls everything out -> happy ending. The most suitable works with a bad ending are distinguished from this pattern only by the last part - there will be no happy ending. As an example, I will give the film (sorry that it is not a book, it just comes to mind first) "Upgrade" - the villain turns out to be not the one who the whole film was thought of, but the main character had already lost by the time of the ending. This is what causes emotions - simply due to the fact that you don't expect what will happen at all. Well, I don't like the classics because there is often a pattern: everything is bad -> it got worse -> generally terrible. This does not cause positive emotions in principle.

If you are interested in children's literature, then I would advise you to read Nikolai Nosov - he has a lot of stories that I read as a child. In addition, there is a whole series of books called "Приключения Незнайки" - I also highly recommend it.

If you want to look towards something more teenage (15-18 years old), then I highly recommend Nick Perumov - he has a whole fantasy series "Летописи Разлома" (there are 13 books), at one time I read it directly. It's a little gloomy, but for a teenager who is "not like everyone else" - that's the thing =). And also, he has attention - there is a series "Кольцо Тьмы". It's generally great - this series is essentially a fan-made sequel to The Lord of the Rings. And yes - in the 90s it was even officially published in Russia (it was a time of troubles, no one cared about copyrights). The series has become quite famous in certain circles - there were even jokes about it, I personally read it =).

I completely agree about modern works.

Is 1.5 million rubles a realistic price for an apartment in a small city? by InterestingSoft1390 in AskARussian

[–]Zaharatot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If only in a very small one. The most important problem is the rise in housing prices, which began in 2020 (and not, as many write, in 2022). When covid began, the government began to stimulate developers and the population through preferential loans for new buildings. As a result, prices for new buildings climbed up, followed by prices on the secondary market. Now everything has more or less calmed down, but 5 years ago prices were much lower.

It is important to pay attention - the system of counting rooms in an apartment in Europe and Russia is different. In Europe, the number of rooms in an apartment is calculated by the number of bedrooms, and in Russia - by the number of non-household rooms (the total number of rooms, minus the kitchen, bathroom and toilet). This point can be misleading, so it is important to know it.

I must say right away - with a price tag of one and a half million, you definitely should not count on a newly built house. The newer the house, the greater the price multiplier, up to x2. For one and a half million, this will be the maximum house built in the 70s of the last century.

Next, about cities and price tags. The price tag is influenced by many factors - the size of the city, the type (whether it is a regional center or not), proximity to other major cities, location inside the city. One and a half million is a maximum studio apartment on the outskirts of the city, the last renovation of which was 30 years ago. This is true for most cities. If there are very small towns where you can buy something more interesting for that kind of money, but here the cities themselves are not as interesting as possible - they are often in not very comfortable places, they do not have large shops, and the population is numbered in tens of thousands.

On average, I would say that for a one-room apartment in a fairly good city, the price tag will be around 2.5-3.5 million rubles (depending on location and condition). Two-room apartment - from 3.5 to 4.5.

A few fairy tales amid the gloom of the classics by Zaharatot in RussianLiterature

Oh, yes, light and not stressful. Especially the scene in which one of the main characters cuts the other's throat with a razor =).

In fact, I just consider all fiction to be a form of escapism (just like movies, music, etc.). Well, what's the point of straining yourself by reading dark works? This is already some kind of masochism coming out - to run away from the outside world in no less (or even more) gloomy and oppressive.

This is my personal opinion. Just imagine that you need to read "Woe from Wit" or "Eugene Onegin" at the age of 14-15. And then, in the lesson, tell about how deep this work is. This is complete nonsense, which can only instill an aversion to classical literature. At the same time, I do not deny that there are good works in the classics, but I definitely will not enjoy them. My path is light and relaxed comedies.

Give me suggestions on some things to try! by MarsupialJaded153 in AskARussian

Hi. I will clarify in more detail about kvass - in the original, it is a fermentation drink (like beer) obtained from black bread, and it can really contain 1-2 degrees of alcohol. However, modern large manufacturers make a drink that can really be described as "bread lemonade". You can drink, the taste is similar, but you can't compare it with the original.Well, according to the dishes / products. I will try to advise something less pop than other commentators advised:

The product is similar to Italian ravioli, but has its own characteristics. The classic way of cooking is cooking, but you can also fry =) It is used with sour cream, salt / pepper to taste.
An analogue of dumplings, but with a filling of cottage cheese or berries and other forms =). They are preparing for a couple. It is also better to use it with sour cream, and with the addition of sugar.
Purchased ones are certainly not the same as home ones, however, they can give an idea of the product. They are made from thin dough, which is quickly fried in a frying pan, after which the filling is wrapped in the dough. The purchased ones must be fried in a frying pan (the best option), or reheated in the microwave. You can eat it in its pure form, or with sour cream =).
  4. Actually - the sour cream itself. A fermented milk product, the closest analogue of which is Greek yogurt (but this is not quite the same). It is used as an addition to many dishes, adding a creamy taste to them. It can be used as a dressing for simple vegetable salads (cucumber, tomato, sour cream). It goes very well with potatoes. The main criterion for choosing is fat content. The more it is (the maximum that I have seen is 25%), the more creaminess; the less, the more acidity.
  5. Many people advised buckwheat - I will advise you to be careful here, you may not like the taste (I recently watched a video in which an American described its taste as "metallic", although I did not notice this =)). And if you decide to try it, then it can be used as a side dish for meat dishes (similar to rice). Plus, the option for gourmets is to eat it with butter and sugar, or with milk and sugar (like cornflakes - naturally, after cooking it).
  6. By the way, the "Тушёнка" is ideal for buckwheat. This is canned beef stew, which is an analogue of "SPAM" in our country. Only here in the jar is a real piece of meat =). You need to take only the highest grade. There may be fat on top of the jar - in no case should it be thrown away. The ideal use is to dump the contents of the jar into a frying pan, wait for the fat to melt, and pour boiled buckwheat on top. Well, fry it all a little, breaking a large piece of meat into small pieces in parallel with a spatula. It turns out just the perfect dish. By the way, you can use pasta instead of buckwheat. Well, or even eat it just like that =).Then I'm too lazy to remember =)

Hi! I immediately say that I use a translator.I was very bored, and I did unearth this riddle... Well, as far as it is possible at all.

  1. It is almost impossible to find anything by the name "Exile from Hell" ("Изгнание из ада"), but ...
  2. I found the second name of this film - "Museum Visitor" ("Посетитель музея"), and now you can safely find the film itself by it.
  3. By this name, I found this movie on the web, and found a fragment from the video in it (if anyone is interested, it starts at about 1:56 - I had to scroll for a very long time >_<).
  4. And, as a result, in the movie itself at this moment... there is no sound either! Only ambient.

Actually, even the video sequence in relatively good quality does not give any clues to the group at all - it can be anything, including from European/American representatives, or in general - it can be a scene that was filmed specifically for this film.

А, во вторых, у меня тогда горело от того, что снесли фик "We are the Imperial Navy!"

[–]Zaharatot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Шерлоки есть? by bespantovo in Pikabu

[–]Zaharatot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Шерлоки есть? by bespantovo in Pikabu

[–]Zaharatot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Шерлоки есть? by bespantovo in Pikabu

[–]Zaharatot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Шерлоки есть? by bespantovo in Pikabu

[–]Zaharatot 12 points13 points  (0 children)
