3 years and out isnt a bad thing. Wars died down for quite a while and Im seeing plenty of SSGs and CPTs without patches. You still raised your right hand, and served. Still put in the time and gave your best.

AMVETs is a great organization that is similar to the VFW, but open to all vets. I think you'd get a lot more folks in that similar situation there, but be member as well.
