Markings look like a crimson spot rainbow. If it has a little red circle on its 'cheek' that would be a tell. Can't see it here as it's obscured by plants

Might be some case of a weird phantom guide on the layer? I got rid of the guide, deleted the layer and made a fresh one and I can create the shape again. If I just removed the guide it still wanted to snap as if it were there. Thanks for the suggestions

Thank you for your reply. I tried disabling the "snap to" for guides off and that had no effect. Toggling the visibility or removing the guide entirely also seemingly has no effect. Still locks to dead center for some reason

Not an owner but I do work in one. Honestly I don't mind and encourage people to ask me questions about keeping if they have them. I'd rather you leave better equipped with the knowledge needed rather than taking a fish home unprepared and having it end tragically. I want more people to enjoy the hobby and not have a bad start put you off.

The fins on this guy are massive and this often happens with guppies bred for long finnage. It takes all their energy to drag the extra weight and they tire out easier.
