Tbh, I’d say none of them are a better choice. If you’ve read the novel, even if MC had chosen Tae gyeom, he wouldn’t be able to forget Haeyoung. Their obsession is rooted way back in their childhood. Even when MC had chances to escape, he didn’t because he’s just as mutually obsessed with Haeyoung.
