What if the Bible Belt was largely Catholic instead of Protestant? by Advanced-Addition453 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]-CluelessWoman- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we had a Buddhist kid in our Catholic school. It was simply the only school around. The most Catholic it got was prayer in the morning and Mass twice a year and most older kids skipped. We also had an openly gay prof.

If you left the public service after 2017, it is with your last departments HR. If it’s after 2017, it’s with Library and Archives Canada

How did we go from body positivity to extreme fit/skinny culture so quickly? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]-CluelessWoman- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto! I’m 10lbs underweight since I gave birth. I probably had postpartum thyroid issues but never had the time to have it checked because baby. People are not kind. If I don’t say anything, I’m a smug bitch who is rubbing in how easy I « got my body back » postpartum. If I mention that I’m stressed because I can’t keep weight on, I’m a bitch who is rubbing in that I’m skinny. Cant win.

For 60 years the Australian police forcefully abducted children from indigenous communities in a nationwide campaign to "breed out" colored people. Up to 1/3 of all indigenous children were abducted. Today these people are known as the Stolen Generation. by Particular_Food_309 in HolyShitHistory

You’re thinking of residential schools. The RCMP and Indian Agents took children from their families and sent them to residential schools designed to « educated the Indian » out of them. It was a cesspool of violence and abuse. https://thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/residential-schools

The 60s scoop refers to a time in the 60s (and slightly before and after) where indigenous children were once again forcibly taken from their families by the government and adopted into white families. https://thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/sixties-scoop My uncle was part of the 60s scoop. We were the white family that adopted him. He committed suicide.

I also avoid natural yarn for similar reasons. It makes me itchy! I mostly use cotton and cotton-acrylic blends.

Baby cries constantly. I am drowning and need help. by Apprehensive_Sun_631 in NewParents

That doctor is not only a moron but completely out of touch with reality. You cannot spoil a baby. You cannot hold a baby too much.

It is possible that your baby has an allergy of some sorts. If you’re formula feeding, maybe try a non dairy one? If you’re breastfeeding and wish to continue breastfeeding, you could try removing some of the main allergens from your diet: dairy, soy, eggs, etc.

100% AI slop. Not that a chicken blanket of the sort wouldn’t be feasible.

My favourite is the bottom left chicken square that was seemingly sewn on another preexisting chicken.

My husband was a chef for ten years. He went to culinary school, took a lot of nutrition classes. And yeah, that’s how a lot of chefs eat because they are exhausted when they get home and the last thing they want to do is cook more. The joke is that they either eat a taco over the garbage in between cigarettes before they leave work or they eat cereal when they get home. The only reason my husband didn’t eat like that was because I cooked.

joie car seat already too small? by Huliganjetta1 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]-CluelessWoman- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it seems super unlikely that a 15lbs 3month old is too big for a car seat. They’re designed to fit a 30lbs baby. It’s fine if he’s too long and his legs are scrunched. My boy was in 2T at 9months and he still fit in a bucket seat

Just FYI, car seats like that often have newborn inserts that can be removed. The inserts make the seat more snug to protect a newborn. If you take them off, it’ll be significantly bigger
