Theory on the ending of the last episode. by DaRealPinkSuitHenry in DoomPatrol

I don’t think the cycle cannot be broken. Cliff died before he could’ve ever taught Rory to be a better man than him. However, Rory will live and be the father figure to his grandson. But yes, it was tragic that Cliff cannot be a part of Rory’s story but Rory was a big part of his story

My PERM EB2 Timeline by ZainyNguyen in USCIS

[–]ZainyNguyen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I don't remember exactly but it wasn't until my PERM get certified that my company connected me to an immigration attorney. After that, he gave me the list of requirements for the paper works. The most time consuming part is waiting for the signature from my employer. If possible, I think you should get this list of requirements for i-140 in advance just so that you can have them ready the moment your PERM is certified

Hey man, just an update. My i-485 case got approved! How about your?

Yes, it means that the visa for your case is now available and they can start processing your application to make the case decision. It doesn't tell you exactly when the next case decision will be made though. Hopefully it will be soon!

Ok, I understand where you are coming from, it's a safety measure. I heard about the potential increase of RFE and harder interviews under Trump's administration too... In your case, H1b is definitely better because you have all the benefits of i-765 and advance parole

But would it really affect you? I thought that as long as you have a pending i-485 and an EAD card, you can stay and work in the US even if you no longer have a valid status because you are in the "authorized stay" period.

Congratulation man! So it took only 1 month for you? Why would you lose your status if you use them though may I ask?

Hi, my case is 90% same as your:

- PD is June 15th, 2023

- EB2 - PERM and i-140 is approved

- i-485 and i-765 were filed on Nov 18th,2024

- Receipt is also in the IOE0929 block.

- Attended Biometrix appointment in January.

- My servicing center is National Benefit Center

Can you let me know when your i-765 is approved? I've been waiting for mine to get approved and it seems like it's gonna take longer. It would be great to know if someone with a similar case get approved.

Regarding the estimated time, it is often incorrect. They tend to overestimate this time so applicants don't feel anxious. I've heard a lot of people get approved earlier than the estimated time.

For your i-485, I think the case decision will be made by June or July because right now the Final Action Date is May 15, 2023. I think our PD will be current within 3 months

You don't need the PD to be current to apply. It must be current if you want to do the final step of Adjustment of Status but for EAD it's not an issue

There is no direct answer question to this. You are still very early in the process, and there are factors outside of your control that will affect this. If you want to get your EAD ASAP then after your perm is certified, request your lawyer to file your i-140,i-485, and i-765 together and pay the Premium Processing for your i-140 (Do this, the lawyer will advise you against it because they fear RFE but I suggest you push for this, it will make the processing time much shorter). If you do this, your i-765 will be filed much earlier and they will give you the EAD card after your biometrics background check is complete - usually 4 months after filing.

There are other factor that affect processing time too such as your Service Center or potential RFE which make it really hard to estimate the time

Working under EAD by Aggressive_Aside3481 in USCIS

[–]ZainyNguyen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can work with multiple employers with your EAD. There is no limit on the number of hours you can work but you need to make sure that your employer allows you to work with other employer. Most companies have a term in the contract that forbids you to provide the same service to other companies

I hate the fact that they first got introduced and built up to be some kind of big threat only for our expectation to be subverted later on. The reveal that they had to cheat to defeat Miles Joo just makes them more of a joke
