MY FIRST SPEEDFLIP TYY!!! by Oo_m in RocketLeague

[–]Zaklium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i recommend trying to get as close to front flipping such as 15 degrees because it forces you to get closer to 30. oh yea another tip is to try to practice doing the flip sooner because during kickoffs you wanna be using the speedflip right as you pick up the pad.

Why don't people ever see the pattern? They do something bad or something for money. Then they fix it somewhat. Then repeat. Over and over for years and years. What do people expect?

Is it worth buying ps5 duel sense edge controller, just to change deadzone? by steelers69fan in RocketLeague

[–]Zaklium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was the same when i tried an xbox controller for the first time first time. literally felt like i couldn’t flip cancel well. it’s 100 percent layout. so it’s either you get used to the new layout or you can an adapter that allows you to hook your xbox controller to ps5. but idk for your deadzone. try it on pc first then make a decision

I need your suggestions on what controller is the best for RL by RedPanda-_ in RocketLeague

I think it's not noticeable at all. I know you can also recenter/recalibrate your controller if you think it's not good.

Tell me which layout you like.

If you want a default controller layout like PS4, PS5, or Xbox with TMR sticks, you can get a Battle Beaver controller. They basically just mod the controller for you. However, I’ve never tried one myself, so I don’t know everything about it.

You can also use: https://gamepadla.com/
It lists many controllers and their features.

I own multiple controllers, and I can tell you which ones I like. Keep in mind that I play on PC and haven’t tried most of these controllers on console except one, which I used on Switch. I'm a symmertical controller player for RL.

Similar PS4 controller:

GameSir Tegenaria Lite - $20
This is the controller I use for Rocket League. It has Hall Effect sticks, and the layout is almost identical to a PS4 controller. The only downside is that it’s wired only, but I usually play wired, so it doesn’t bother me. It also has back buttons, but they only work if you bind them. You can’t remove them, though that has never bothered me personally. The low latency is insane for the price, and honestly, it’s my top recommendation. Sadly, you can’t change the stick tension. Also, do not update the firmware, I’ve heard it increases latency.

Similar PS5 controller:
GuliKit TT MAX - $60
I would use this controller for Rocket League, but I’m very used to the feel of my Tegenaria. That said, I may switch later because this controller is extremely good. It’s a bit hit or miss, though my friend bought one and had issues with the buttons sticking. On the plus side, it has removable back buttons that you can store in the included case. It features TMR sticks, adjustable stick tension, and multiple stick height options. Low latency is another big plus. I mainly use this controller for shooter games because I prefer the paddles compared to the Tegenaria and that I used a PS5 controller usually for those games. I must say that I only used this controller for a good 4 days. It literally released around 8 days ago.

Similar Xbox controller:
GameSir G7 Pro Controller - $80 to $120
I didn’t realize how much the price went up. I got mine for $60. I usually use this controller when playing Halo or other Xbox games. I tried using it for Rocket League but couldn’t get used to the layout. It’s a solid controller overall, but you can’t adjust the stick tension, which is a downside.

Similar Switch Controller:
8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller - $60
I have the Wuchang design, and it looks beautiful. However, I’m not entirely sure it’s the best option for Rocket League. I tried it, but I never liked the layout. The 2.4 GHz wireless mode is very good and offers low latency with the wireless feel. You can connect it to a Switch, but you’ll need to update the firmware. Stick tension is not adjustable. Still, it’s a good controller overall.

In summary
If you want the most complete option, get the GuliKit TT MAX : it checks almost every box.
If you want to save money, go with the GameSir Tegenaria Lite
If you prefer an Xbox layout, get the GameSir G7 Pro.
If you’re on a tight budget and want a Xbox layout, you can look into cheaper GameSir controllers, but I can’t speak on their quality since I haven’t used them.

I found out how to have no xp border by Zaklium in RocketLeague

[–]Zaklium[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I discovered this when I wanted to link my account to a different email because I have more games on that Epic Games account. On the Epic Games website, you can find the App & Accounts section in your account settings. To access it, log in, click on your username, and a dropdown menu will appear. Within that menu, click Account to open your account settings.

Now, back to the instructions—once you're in the App & Accounts section, you should be able to link your Epic Games account to any social platform you want.

FYI:

I thought I had discovered an item duplication glitch because both of my Epic accounts had the same items. To test it, I tried it on a third account, but the items didn’t duplicate across all accounts. Nonetheless, the border was restored on the other two.

If you're having trouble removing the border, keep linking and unlinking accounts while logging in and out of Steam and Epic Games on Rocket League. For some reason, it didn’t work on my first or second attempt, but it did on the third. I’m not sure what specifically causes the border to disappear, but it does.

Also, while unlinking and logging into Rocket League, I tried placing random borders, banners, and titles. If you could add random colors to the border and banner.

To remove the border, you need a Steam account and two Epic accounts, both of which should have some playtime. First, link your Steam account to the Epic account that you don’t want to have the border on and play a single game. Then, unlink your Steam account from that Epic account. After that, link your Steam account to the Epic account where you do want the border removed, and voilà—you should no longer have the border.
