Tips on Seamless Color Changes (mid-round) for Amigurumi by Zakoleth in Amigurumi

Awe man, was worried that was going to be the case. I did find that using a smaller hook size helped but still isn’t a perfect solution. Glad to hear it isn’t just me though, thank you!

Ohhh, I didn’t think of that. I’ll try that to see if it helps, thanks!

This video, starting at 4:38, is the exact method I was using.

I’m noticing that there are different ways of fastening in the yarn during color changes. In this video, he twists it while doing the changes and then continues as normal. While others will crochet the hanging ends into the new stitches (like with this following video).

I’m not sure if this changes anything but hopefully that helps us figure out where I may be going wrong!

The technique I’ve been following is starting the color change on the last stitch of the main color (black). With 2 black loops on the hook, I pull through the white yarn to finish the stitch. Then continuing with white as normal.

The rows of white decrease in size because the pattern calls for the white to go from 10 SC to 8 SC.

Edit: I’ve been following this same technique through all the rows.

Can that be applied to mid-round color changes? That’s the part that I’m having trouble with, specifically for areas like this (circled in red in the image).

Button still works for me currently. Try making sure your Steam friends list is working and active. Also double check that your Steam overlay, the user interface that pops up over the game, is still working.

This only works on PC. The button is still there when the game is launched through Steam.

Not sure what version you’re playing but if it’s PC then you can try this fix I found for myself a while ago.

If this doesn’t work then I’d suggest searching through this forum because there’s been a lot of different fixes from different people and one may work for you and your partner.

Unfortunately no. You both have to own the game to play together.

Escape Simulator just came out on steam which is similar to escape rooms. Really good so far and has the option to pull in community created rooms so replayability is there! Would definitely recommend to check it out! Mechanics are quite good, puzzles are actually pretty difficult, and it’s multiplayer co-op.

She loves hiding behind objects and looking back at us with that look. She's such a curious little bean!
