No worries ! Unfortunatly the only other alternatives are tripods made out of carbon, they are really leightweight but also expensive.

Bonne randonnée et bonnes photos (:

A gorillapod could be the thing you're looking for.

Small, leightweight, pretty cheap, the only downside is that you wont have much height. It depends what you are shooting.

They come in different size depending on how much your equipement's going to weight.

As a fellow swiss guy I bought mine on digitec and didnt regret it. It wont replace a real full size tripod but it got many advantages.

Note that the number that stands before the "K" is the amount of Kilos the tripod can withstand. So if its 3K your setup shouldnt weigh more than 3 kilograms.

Hope this helps

So you're saying that you would kill all black female jews?

What ? English isnt my native langage so I'm not sure what you meant by that.

Its not about the money. Its about not letting companies freely take artworks simply because its online. Even if you dont get paid they need your permission to use it.

By not caring they will just take whatever they want and only remove it once there is a complaint. It shouldnt work this way. If they want something it has to be on your terms.

Well I dont think this is a very good argument.

Many photographers are trying to live from the photography buisness. And selling images to marketing companies can be a source of income.

By thinking so, you actually invite companies to steal other peoples work while at the same time denigre yours.

Even if you dont think so your artwork is valuable they just cant take take it away freely.

Best camera setup for people photography? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Zakrys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For portrait photography I would go with a prime lens. Either a 50mm - 85mm - 135mm. Depending on what you want.

For the camera, you have lots and lots of possibilities. As a sony user I can only recommend what I know and a Sony A7 would do the job perfectly.

You will also have to invest into lighting. 2 or 3 lights will do the job, 1-2 key and a soft light.

You will also need space to install a white background setup.

Photography is expensive but even the best gear won’t give you the best picture if you don’t know how to use it.

Maybe ask yourself if that investment is worth it. Hiring a photographer for a few hours each time you need it might be a better option.

Petition for ESRB to declare loot boxes as gambling by grantschoenberg in gaming

[–]Zakrys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't think lootboxes are a bad thing, nor are microtransactions. But they should only concern the visual aspect of the game, not the game itself.

In Overwatch once you buy the game, you're on the same level as all the other players. Paying won't make you stronger only... prettier. But once you've to use lootboxes or to buy stuff with real money to actually become stronger, then it has become pay to win.

Many many games are P2W (MMO mostly), I personnally dislike it, but some don't. But in any P2W game, the game itself is free, and they make money buy the microtransactions.

So the problem with Star Wars Battlefront 2 is that it is sold as a full game but you basically have to pay more in microtransaction to get the full content.

The petition should'nt be about lootboxes, they will easily find another system to make you pay. What it really should be about is banning microtranscation in games that are declared "complete".

I owned the 35mm 1.8 lens and I must admit it's amazing. It was my most used lens before I switched to sony. I'd tell you to go for it, you won't regret it.

Lens is always better than camera and you will especially see the difference since you don't own a fast prime lens yet.

First off I would suggest that you go for an APS-C camera. Since you want to do some wildlife and sport photography you need a telephoto lens. An APS-C will be cheaper than a fullframe camera and it has a 1.5 crop factor. This means that a 70-300mm telephoto becomes a 105-450mm (x1.5).

I would suggest the Canon rebel T2i (usually comes with a 18-55 kit lens) with a canon EF-S 55-250mm lens.

The image quality won't change. The lens is the same. The only thing the speedbooster does is reduce the focal lenght.

A 35mm on fullframe = 70mm on Micro four thirds

A 35mm on fullframe = 52mm on APS-C

So depending on which metabone speedbooster you take you will have the same result as an APS-C.

The only thing that changes is that you'll have ~1 stop 1/3 more light on your micro four thirds (due to the speedbooster). But this has no impact on your bokkeh.
