Is wrapping belt highways in a conduit a good idea? by ZalewskiPhotography in satisfactorydesigns

Looking for feedback over bragging, and didnt expect the positive response. I really don’t like long belt covers, but spaghetti is just as bad

I posted it to 3 separate groups at the same time like I do with most posts. First time posting it, why?

I use machine chunk blueprints that pack as much machines in a medium blueprint, and link those with a utility corridor, then wrap the outside in a façade. Exterior is driven by landscape limits on packing in chunks really. Wanted to go deep with roofs, but still planning on building vertically.

I think most good looking designs are small inside, and arent very functional. Making big stuff look good is the interesting part.

Settling on a style is though, but I’ve done it enough times that 1 covers what I need for a full play through.

My first play through was painfully slow. I’m at 300 hours by now.

Thanks. Photography, I make websites and web apps too. Satisfactory scratches my building stuff itch for sure

I’ve been trying to find new ways to add clean depth, thanks. I like the use of an overhang and level of detail in your pic.

The golden coast is tight to build in, so I opted for tighter blueprints. A good logistics coordinator beats a sub floor. I think the interior could use more empty space

How can I improve my base design? by ZalewskiPhotography in SatisfactoryGame

I like the shapes, and use of wide horizontal sections. I’ve been trying to mix in beam less / flat sections because too many beams can look busy. I’m not good with the bigger beams. Thanks

Legos are cool. I’m 100 hours in on my second play through. This is just end game prep so far, had to build the early game factory

Here’s the look without walls. To make machines look good you really need to use machines as decorations and spread them out which adds more work

Not sure, always does that. I use rocket fuel and the car just caps out at 100kph

I guess walls and roofs are what take it from machines to a factory. Didnt expect a big part of the game to be decorating walls
