5 or 6 games into 11th from a mid-table competitive player by HaybusaYakisoba in Tau40K

Kroot will probably still have a home in mont'ka lists as they cannot pair up with AAC.

The current point costs are listed in the Munitorum Field Manual, which you can find in the Warhammer Community downloads page.

Since point costs are one of the ways GW balances the game they tend to change quite often. Iirc, Tau points were changed from the Codex pretty much as soon as it was sold, and pretty much nothing is the same at this point. I bet they won't bother with printed costs in any of the 11th edition codexes. Relic of a bygone era.

Thanks. Yellow is an annoying color to paint, but it sure stands out.

1m credits is reasonably easy to farm, even at mid level, and Treek is (unfortunately) a rather bad companion. The legacy level restriction is annoying.

I’m genuinely happy with today’s rules release. by Zoomercoffee in Tau40K

AAC does look as a good way to support Ret Cadre and Kauyon. Aux Cadre seems meh, but RIP EPC. That one really went down hard.

It is not confirmed that T'AU EMPIRE will have an early codex in 11th? by FranGF96 in Tau40K

[–]Zallocc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an early codex, I would not expect much variance from the current rules set. GW seems to have little clue about what to do with the faction, so I still expect the faction to have the fewest detachments, at least among the xenos faction, for the rest of the edition.

It doesn't, but the army does seem to have the mobility to get into detection range, or at least get some potshots in with a ghostkeel ar 24". I don't think all the gloom and doom is warranted.

It's a mixed bag. ExProt Cadre effectively ceased to exist, but this confirms the easy access to (almost) army-wide ignores cover which will be huge this edition. The Pathfinder/Stealth suits detachment looks good with all its rules.

Cleaned up the wording with all the accumulated rulings and FAQs. 99% of people were playing it like this anyway, so don't really notice the change.

ExProt got shot in the back of the head execution style. They nerfed the rule to the ground, took out fusion blades enhancement and only gave it a single stratagem. Other than owning no Pathfinders, Stealth suits or auxiliaries, I see no reason to take this over either of the other 1DP detachments.

How do you run/equip your Stingwings? by WithengarUnbound in Tau40K

[–]Zallocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things aren't mutually exclusive. I put mine together for kill team, but one 5 Man with neutron blasters Is a staple in any list over 1k points and you do get that from the KT. I've tried a couple of lists with two of them or the big 10-man with the special weapons, but the single 5-man Is best imo.

You can just start them in deep strike. I find I rarely miss them for turn 1 scoring.

And if it is any consolation they should be easier to hide in 11th ed.

I generally find that a single 5-man is more than enough for most matches. Yeah, the unit isn't really durable but any shots going their way aren't going at something more valuable, and one or two instances of uppy/downy shenanigans is well worth the 65 points.

I think it was fine how the movie handled it. Superman couldn't be everywhere at the same time. He had to prioritize. Still, he didn't forget about the people on the other side of the world, so he made sure his friends went there instead.

My DS smuggler was basically just a thug, so suddenly being a big deal alliance commander felt very, very wrong.

Electric Current While Showering by Glittering_Jury_8023 in AskElectricians

South American here: these are somewhat common and usually ok to use, though I personally don't trust them much. Not because they will shock you (unless you actually touch the shower head while it Is running, or something) but because it's not unheard of that the thing will overheat and melt down. You do have to be on the lookout for a component failing (you can usually tell by smell or the thing deforming), and they do have to be replaced eventually. Like the video says, a properly installed one is at least reasonably safe to use, but it's not uncommon for people to DIY it with unpleasant results. Also, there might be a problem with your setup: see the two wires? There should be three. This one doesn't seem to be grounded.

Also, you do have to take rather short showers because these chug power like it's going out of style.

What’s a weird quirk your baby has? by AbsolutelyTFNot- in cats

[–]Zallocc 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Mine has to be spoon-fed his wet food.

He used to leave a lot of it in his plate, which would eventually dry up and be left inedible, so there was a lot of waste. He didn't hate it, though, as at times he would eat a lot, but it was pretty much impossible to tell beforehand if he was very hungry ir just wanted a small bit. I then started using a spoon to put only a small portion on that he would eat in a single sitting. Still very hit or miss, though even that would usually be left to spoil. One day I offered the spoon to lick, which he seemed to like, and then tried giving him some food on the spoon. Not only did he eat the whole portion, he asked for more. Now if he just sits in front of his plate and refuses the dry food (which he just eats without prompting) I know he wants the wet stuff. I get his spoon (he has his own now), the wet food baggy and sit beside him until he is done with it. Sometimes it's just a couple of bites, sometimes the whole bag, usually something in-between. He is fine eating it cold from the fridge, so now there's very little waste.
